I don’t think we make it all the way this year but I’m hoping for at least a strong playoff push. The offensive coordinator is just not calling good plays. It’s that simple. Hopefully we can fix it in the off season

While we're at it how about some trivia. Name a QB that didn't complete a single pass in not 1, but 2 full halves of games in 2025. I'll start, Jalen Hurts Enjoy the Tanner show this weekend, you can see what a real QB looks like in this offense |

Washington is an injured below 500 team. Who Jalen looked a good against btw, who you also did not give credit for Jalen having a good game saying it was just a Mariota-less Washington team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Jeter1020; 12-31-2025 at 12:57 PM. |

There's always an excuse. When McKee looks great against them with no Goedert, Barkley, Brown, and Smith,(the guys Hurts had) what will the excuse be?

I’m not saying there is an excuse. Jalen played well against them and you mentioned it didn’t matter because it was a banged up team. So if Tanner plays well it shouldn’t matter either because it’s a against a banged up team Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Also, I’m not trying to give you a hard time. I understand having been invested in a guys cards, sometimes you get emotionally invested and want them to do well. It’s part of the hobby. Where the frustration comes from in my end is I come here and post about Jalen Hurts or the Eagles season and the conversation automatically gets moved to Tanner McKee. More than happy to talk about him when he starts or gets traded but not every single week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Jalen Hurts sucks. So what if he has a superbowl, so does Trent Dilfer. Tush push is lame. His stats when his career is over will tell the tale.

Tanner will be playing against the same defense that Hurts did I don’t care who the QB is. And I’m guessing they want to put a highlight reel together for trade offers for Tanner so I expect they will open up the offense (something they can’t do with Hurts)

That was the Super Bowl the Eagles and Hurts LOST. In the Super Bowl Hurts and the Eagles WON, Hurts was 17/22 for 221 yards, 2 TD, and 11 rushes for 72yds and a rushing TD. Hurts was the MVP of that Super Bowl. Dilfer wasn't the MVP of the one he won.

Tough season. Offensively they did not look like they did last year. Going to be interesting how the Eagles handle Nick and KP this offseason. Glad Jalen got one last year. Go birds

Team needs a bit of a shake up on offense - too much talent and money spent (highest paid offense in the league) and too little production. Some of that money needs to move to the defensive side of the ball with good young players having free agency coming up. Need a new OC for sure, hopefully one who will stick around (5 OCs in 5 years is not ideal for consistency or establishing an identity!), need to shed dead weight, and need to get some new blood in through free agency and the draft. Today's loss was a mercy kill, this team was not running it back. Wishing the 49ers luck - and I'll see you on here through the playoffs, and Birds talk will resume when we hire a new OC or the draft in April, whichever is first!! Go Birds!!

AJ Brown is a problem in the locker room. Division leaders at 7-2 and complains about touches. Team goes on a losing streak when he starts to get more. Fails miserably by dropping passes in the playoffs with the game on the line including a heated "disagreement" with the head coach. Sign Kyle Pitts and let Devonta Smith be the #1

Having slept on the game now. It was just a tough season for the offense. Bad scheming on the offensive side of the ball all year and I think changes are coming. Vic as always crushed it with his coaching on D.
As far as Jalen’s play for yesterday’s game, I think he played well as he usually does in the playoffs. Bad drops by AJ and Dallas was making catches. I think that’s why he didn’t look AJ’s way on the 4th down. I think he just didn’t trust him. Is Jalen blameless? Absolutely not, but it’s not all his fault and he also isn’t the main problem. He’s 27 and has two Super Bowl appearances with one win. I think when he hits 30 and if the athleticism declines, then yes we have that conversation but not now. Next year will be his 28 year old season and 6th starting. I think realistically he has three more seasons of elite running/scrambling left and that’s enough for one more run. Let’s see how this offseason goes I feel very grateful to be experiencing what I believe is the golden age of Eagles football ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Jeter1020; 01-12-2026 at 02:04 PM. |

Jalen was just OK yesterday. Playcalling - as usual - after the scripted first couple drives was abysmal. (If I ever see four verticals or two hook routes again it will be too soon.) But he also bailed too quickly for throwaways on a few plays, and if the lack of designed runs is something he has input in, he needs to reconsider.
I would not be surprised if Daboll gets strong consideration for the OC position. |
