25-26 Jumbo Chrome New Year's Eve Break

I got a box of Topps Chrome 25-26 Jumbo last week. Did not get around to opening it until today. Figured I must as well open it before the New Year.

Unfortunately the quality control for this box was poor. Each of the 12 packs had damaged cards. They were all refractor cards too. The last cards the ones in the back when you first rip the pack all had damage on the lower left hand corner. Not sure how Topps packed these cards. Luckily the better hits were located in the middle of the pack and no damage to those cards

Turns out this was a "Spurs" box. Onto the results


I will start with the damaged cards (all silver refractors)-

Steph Curry, LaMello Ball, Ant-Man Edwards, Brock Barnhizer, Oshae Brissett, Jae Sean Tate, Brandon Clarke, Michael Porter Jr., Keldon Johnson, Taurean Prince, Pascal Siakam, Kyle Kuzma.

I am not going to bother sending them back to Topps for replacement. Not worth the postage. If one of the cards was a Cooper sure. But none were.

-Kevin Love sky write sticker auto #'d106/150 (Saw this and said oh boy this is bad. Will this be like Neo’s youtube fanatics jumbo break. He got mostly vets autos. And not of players you want). Luckily that was not the case with the other 2 autos.

-Tyrese Haliburton Black Refractor 8/10 on card autograph (This summer I tried to buy some 20-21 panini products in hopes of getting a Tyrese auto. No luck. So I am glad I got his auto finally. Actually it looks like a Black/Gold refractor. Due to the Pacer Colors.

-Dylan Harper Rookie Auto redemption


So yes this was a Spurs themed Box. Got a Wemby Rockstar and Harper Auto. Glad the Dylan was a redemption because of all the damaged cards in this jumbo. Hopefully Topps sends a Dylan that is gradeable.


Paid $1300 tax included for this jumbo. I would say even with the Harper, Wemby Rock Star, and Haliburton on card auto I did not break even. Probably lost money. But I did get some decent cards.
