Sorry, yeah, #2, not #1. I never really think about Aikman in that draft when I think about this pick, as the Pack never had a chance to get Troy, but they had a LOT of talent they left on the board for someone who really was only a combine monster. They did redeem themselves a bit with Sterling Sharpe and Chris Jacke (their SB kicker from 96/97). Only other draft since then that I think was close to that was when the Pack traded out of the 1st round in 2017, passing on TJ Watt (LB, a position they needed that year) and drafted Kevin King, Josh Jones, Montravius Adams, and Vince Biegel on D later in the draft (with only King sort of contributing anything worthwhile, and not much at that).

Yes! I got my LOD members confused when I wrote that post! Pictured the right member in my head but put the wrong name down! Good catch!

Curtis Enid had 287 rushing attempts in his second season and didn’t have a carry of 20 yards or more.

Larry Csonka had the third most rushing yards in 1971. Csonka’s longest carry was for 28 yards but he was the YARDS PER ATTEMPT leader with 5.4.

After Georgia's loss to Ole Miss last night, they finished the season 12-2 yet beat every team on their schedule. Not sure that's ever happened before in FBS.

The University of Toledo has the DI record for lowest rushing yards allowed in one game. On November 11th, 1967, they held Northern Illinois to -109 rushing yards.

Redemption:

Jalen Hurts was the first QB to win a Super Bowl after having first lost a Super Bowl or Super Bowls since John Elway.

Hurts and the Eagles lost in Super Bowl 57, but made it back and won in Super Bowl 59.

Elway and the Broncos lost in Super Bowls 21, 22, and 24. Elway and the Broncos finally won in Super Bowl 32, and repeated as champs in Super Bowl 33.

There have been QBs like Brady who won a few, then lost, then won again. This factoid was about losing first, then redeeming oneself and winning after suffering that defeat.

You can add Len Dawson (lost Super Bowl I and won IV) and Bob Griese (lost Super Bowl VI and returned to win VII and VIII) to that list as well

Elway and Kurt Warner are the only QB’s to have won a Super Bowl yet still have a losing record in the Super Bowl

Bobby Singh born in Suva, Fiji has the unique distinction of being the only player in football history to have won an XFL Championship, a Super Bowl, and a Grey Cup (Canadian football league Championship).

In 1999 he was a member of the Rams practice squad and received a ring for their win in Super Bowl XXXIV. In 2001 he won the inaugural XFL championship as a member of the LA Xtreme. Finally on 2006 he won the grey cup as a member of the BC lions

In 1987 Anthony Carter in back to back playoff games vs NO & SF had totaled 500 yards without returning a kickoff. 1 rush 30 yards, 16 receptions 306 yards & 8 punt returns for 164 yards.

I believe he is the only person to reach 500 yards but the only one to reach 400 yards in back to back playoff games. Pretty astounding.
