And I'll stick by what I said earlier. Cheap Hal is wasting his precious off season time to sign players waiting on Japanese stars to decide they don't want to be a Yankee.

It's now January 1, 2026 and on this day, IMO the 2026 Yankees are worse than the 2025 Yankees that were 2nd in the division (due to record against Toronto) and made it to the ALDS.

The starting pitching is weaker until Rodon, Schmidt, and Cole return. One might ask where they will find 5 starters until those dates.

They have not re-signed Bellinger who contributed really good offense. So does Dominguez continue to start in left or do they bring up Spencer Jones - another K machine. Neither of whom I believe will be as good offensively as Bellinger.

They got suckered into bringing back Grisham who I believe will majorly regress.

Their catcher, center fielder, and second basemen are still homerun or nothing guys.

They have no shortstop unless the combination of Rosario, Cabrera, and Caballero can hot better than Volpe. I don't see them promoting Lombard Jr. out of spring training.

And who knows what Stanton is going to give them. More home runs than last year? A decent average like last year, but a clog on the base paths?

And that's without even looking at the signings of Baltimore and Toronto.

The top 4 haven't signed. Bellinger Tucker, Bregman, Bichette

Now if we wiff on all 4 then you can really panic.

Well you see, Hal isn't able to turn a profit with 800m of revenue and 300m payroll after he buys a 500m boat

The Yankees are going to be run like a family business and Hal will push for a salary cap. For whatever reason he wants to keep the team rather than take 10b or so.

I think it's because he knows very well we all loved George better than him. He's going to keep torturing us with a mediocre team until we, who all loved George and the late 1990s/early 2000s wins, die off and then he'll sell.

Per Jon Heyman.

I wonder what Vegas says are the odds on any one of those four being signed by the Yankees? And then what are the current odds of signing two of them, like, say, Bellinger and Bichette? I am not a betting man, but I would imagine we have to be about 30-40 to even 50% on at least on of these guys, and maybe as high as 10% on a pair. Not the worst odds. Have hope.

They are also having discussions apparently with Miami for Edward Cabrera. I would be fine sending Spencer Jones or a Volpe/Prospect package to get him.

According to sources, they submitted a second offer to Bellinger yesterday.

The New York Yankees have signed Adam Kloffenstein to a minor league contract. The pitcher has 609 strikeouts in 587.2 innings pitched throughout his minor league career.

But what about his 4.66 ERA and 1.42 WHIP?

lol, I know he's not a impact signing, but mentioning his Ks while leaving out the rest made me laugh

It's the Yankees way. For some reason, Ks mean more to them.

To be fair, they've done pretty well with pitching and making bullpen guys the Mets end up overpaying for. Its developing hitters that can actually hit that has been the issue.

Get used to it. Things aren't going to change until Hal is no longer the owner.

Agreed. I just thought they would luck out one year and win a World Series but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen.

Pretty much, they still have time to make moves but they won’t.
