No response for two weeks.

I assume customer service is very selective in responding?
I get the frustration with the CS time, but it was your fault. It literally asks if you are sure.

COMC Bulk Question.

Im at 434 Items, its $19.99 to ship.
I add 1 more, 435 and its $24.99 to ship.

Why I thought 500 was the limit.

When shipping cards home, is there a specific price cutoff where our COMC overlords grant us a "free" top loader?
Seems to be no rhyme or reason lately, and the .50/per feels so nickel-and-dimey.

Nope, they actually replied to my email. They said they have a $400 value that when eclipsed it adds $5 for US Signature to Bulk orders.

I dont think so, I know my orders get random Toploaders. Sometimes a 50 cent card is Toploaded while a $15 one is in the box lol

Sure as heck probably won’t be COMC first!

Bulk shipping is a joke. I requested mine early Dec, supposed to ship 1/26, just checked it recently since it’s near that….COMC quietly pushed it back to like 3/16, and I’m sure it’ll keep going back. That is not sustainable.

COMC continues to be a complete shipping mess, beyond even standard holiday delays (we’re how far past the holiday now?). This is worse than normal- I requested another Bulk recently as it had over 950k items in front…almost 1M (!). Can’t remember seeing that before. So I wonder whats going on- either it’s they are losing manpower to perform basic shipping functions, or the demand for shipping is going way up lately possibly related to fears of COMC’s sustainability mentioned by some people.

Whatever the case…I paid $30 (overpriced) shipping to have cards arrive 4+ months later (when I was told it would be just over 1 month when I purchased the shipping). This company really seems to be going down the tubes, and never would have guessed the shipping issues could end up sinking it (imo if the issues continue in this fashion, it very well could).

First person with 1,000,000 items ahead of order should get a prize.

Why not both? It could be they are overwhelmed with holiday shipping volumes AND can't hire enough people.

If I recall correctly, during the pandemic, there were well over 1 million cards ahead of a given order. I want to say 1.2-1.3 million. Anyone else remember similarly?

Delivered Wed May 27th - $114.54 (Express Rushed)

BEST ALTERNATIVE:
Delivered Sat June 13th - $66.04 (Economy Rushed)

The hobby is in the midst of explosive growth right now. With how popular local and regional shows have become, the desire to have cards in hand is growing. Shipping times everywhere suck. But COMC is easily the worst thanks to the business being centered around bulk, low value cards.

It really isn't shipping that is excessively slow. I sent about 90 cards to them at the second to last Philly show I think in November. The "due date" on this is 1/29 and they are currently at 0%.

They will continue to have these issues as long as they choose to penny-pinch with their employees. Tim and his wife love to pom-pom about the Microsoft background, and the tech, and the location of their offices, and the volume of cards they have listed, but what you rarely hear or see is them talking about how they fix the plethora of problems that have plagued COMC since 2016-on.

Hiring temp-workers at $20/hr outside of Seattle isn't your solution. It starts with getting real leadership in place and understanding you have to offer more than local fast food restaurants pay if you want to attract and retain talent. Turnover and training is becoming way too costly for COMC

So I had a card I ebay auctioned on comc back in late Dec….hammered at like $70, then the winning bidder never paid, so I got nothing. Was randomly checking at my account transactions today and noticed comc still charged a $.99 auction fee….lol. It’s a dollar, but how silly. Bidder can just win the auction, not pay, I get nothing, I still get hit with an auction fee, and presumably the bidder isn’t even blocked since it’s comc and no repercussions on their end. That’s one way of doing things I guess, COMC.

At least you got to make the dollar count by making the above post content. Think of it positively that way.

Is there an easy way to check this? Or do we have to manually search each item on eBay to see if they're crossed over?

Everyone(every COMC account) has a "code". You can figure your code out fairly easily, most of the time. If you go through your inventory and find a few cards that you have monopolies on, it makes it easier. Once you've found those cards, find them for sale on eBay via COMC. Most(not ALL) of the time it'll have your "code" right in the title. This only works on your BIN cross listings and won't show up on your auctions.

Here's an example... Go to COMC's eBay account and just go to newly listed. The first 3 items currently have the codes listed:

n1u is the 1st code
0q0 is the 2nd code
07qr is the 3rd code

All of those are different accounts on COMC. Once you find your code, you can just type it into eBay and it'll bring up mostly your listings, especially if you type stuff like "code marvel" or "code topps" etc. etc. If you randomly got stuck with a code that is in a lot of listings, it definitely makes it necessary to add the other search words like topps or marvel or upper deck etc.

Good luck!

This, plus their eBay auction formats are certainly sucking man hours in the shipping depo. Also got people picking through the listings for grading purposes which has also exploded. I did plenty of that myself over the last few years but most of that was before everything seemingly doubled in price on the site over the last year.

The card market is stupid good right now. Enjoy it while it lasts.
