Default Empty Box from eBay

Hi, I placed an order on eBay for a fairly expensive card and I just got the package from the authentication guarantee and the box is completely empty - I'm sort of panicking but what the heck do I do?

Does the box look like it was tampered with? Like was it opened and retaped?

Never had to use it, but in the future, I highly suggest making a video upon opening packages as at least some proof to back your claim. Sorry to hear about this, sounds very shady. Does the package appeared to be tampered with?

nope, it didn't look like it was tampered with, but i filed a police report (in hopes of being able to have a report on file in case it helps - ie if it gets listed on ebay) and they said people are able to steal stuff and repackage it without you being able to tell.

I didn't think this was possible so never even thought to record opening the package, lesson learned

First, compare the weight when it was mailed to the weight when it was received.

Is the card uniquely identifiable? Serial number? Might be worth to post it here so the community can look out for it.

I’m surprised ebay AG on the phone is being no help at all. If this is a one-off thing, generally ebay is pretty accommodating, especially if a police report is filed. I guess it depends on the price, as it’ll be more likely for eBay to courtesy refund a $400 card than a $3k card. Tricky situation, cant say Ive had this happen with a package from authenticity.
