I can personally verify that Wieder directly contacts each Living Set artist asking to do business deals with them, citing his high volume sales on ebay (Uptownsports). He emails me a couple times each year, and I always ignore them. I simply can't trust a past counterfeiter and stay as far away from him as possible.

He contacted me when my first few cards were released and something seemed very off. Now it makes sense.

I don't know if this much thought was put into it, but I love that the two players featured are the 21st members of their respective franchise and teams, released on the 21st of the month, and both born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

A lot of fun with numerical iteration, though I agree, potentially record low print runs outside of this.

One last thing, Perdomo had a monster season last year with 7.0 bWAR. Definitely deserving of inclusion.

Love that Perdomo is finally in the set, but super bummed and I won't be able to get an Art Print of him. Except for the first couple Diamondbacks (before I realized how cool they were) I have for all of them.

Also super bummed about the loss of the checklists. It was a fun thing for the collectors, especially those of us that still have a full set rolling.

I wish Topps would bring back Wall Art 10x14. Sad to see it go after so many years of collecting. These Living art pieces were such great collecting pieces.

The way this set has been handled over the years has continued to gently nudge me towards the exit. When they went from three cards a week to two, no big deal. When they greatly raised the price, I switched from buying direct to a bulk seller on eBay. I lost the joy of the weekly box showing up and points accruing, but I guess I was saving money in the grand scheme of things…

But eliminating the checklist, which just felt like a cool reward for sticking with the set for another 100 cards, feels like a final straw. Maybe I’m overreacting but now the symmetry I liked so much is gone now…and if it was just to cut costs when literally everything Topps produces is much higher than just a couple of years ago, then it just shows me what Topps thinks of this set and its collectors.

Hello Living Set Fam - I wanted to fill you in on some new work I'll be offering in 2026. After 5 years of painting on the Living Set, I've decided to finally start painting some baseball legends I'd like to have in my personal collection. My plans are to do 5-10 portraits, apart from my Topps Living Set work, in 2026. These original pieces of art will be available for purchase. They all come framed behind museum grade, UV resistant glass.

It's the first time in almost a decade that I've been able to offer new original sports art for sale. I know we all miss the fine art prints, but their cancellation (including my artist-signed print offerings) has opened up my schedule enough that I can undertake these new pieces of art. It's always been on my list of things to paint since starting on the Living Set in 2021, and now I'm finally painting the baseball legends that I'd personally want to see on my wall.

Additionally, I'm also now open to considering private commission requests. I'll work on creating a page on my website that lists prices, for those who may be interested.

Just to be clear, these are not part of my Topps work and are not associated with Topps or my Living Set work. Nonetheless, these portraits are 8x10 inches on heavy illustration board, same as my Living Set portraits for Topps. Hope you enjoy!

Here's my full artwork of Carlos Estevez. I would've posted it sooner but I've spent the last few days getting approved for a new loan for an in-ground pool, which I'm hoping to payoff with my earnings from the Estevez print run. My wife thinks it was a dumb decision, but then again, she knows nothing about the Hobby.

Several collectors have reached out to me about extra (unsigned) fine art prints I may have on-hand. I spent today alphabetizing my inventory. I have a lot of prints -- between 1 and 4 prints of almost each player I've painted since Card 500 (the time the open editions started).

If anyone is interested in them, I'm happy to part with them for the price Topps charged me. $25+tax/shipping. Just message me with names you're interested in. I've had a lot of autograph chasers stocking up in preparation for spring training.
