The real victim here is Jordon Hudson. She was really looking forward to meeting some even older Hall of Famers at Bill's induction.

You can downplay the above. But can you refute what happened?

Spygate = Belichick was fined $500,000 (maximum allowed and largest for a coach in NFL history) and the team was fined $250,000 and lost a first-round draft pick.

Deflategate = $1 million fine for the team, loss of two draft picks, and a four-game suspension for quarterback Tom Brady.

Investigated, found guilty and punished. Again, it all happened. And it's all known by voters. I am not making up random speculation. The man was controversial. But for good reason.
Walsh retired in '88 before the 24 hour news cycle, before social media outrage.

Walsh once allegedly faked a headset outage playing Parcells (where Bill B was an assistant) to gain an advantage.

Google-able stuff.

Walsh was still a genius. As is Bill B.

When Bill Walsh was coach, NFL talk amounted to 30 minutes per week from 12:30 to 1:00 (Eastern) every Sunday on the NFL Today.

Anyone comparing media exposure of Walsh infractions to Belichick infractions is pretty stupid.

And Bill Walsh was NOT a first Ballot HOFer either. So you proved my point, that the voters can be petty vindictive dicks. Right?

Even Vince Lombardi wasn't a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Bill B won twice the SBs as BW.

Check Knoll had already won 4.

Is there an argument that Bill B is not the premiere winning coach of the SB era? Going back to NYG his defensive acumen has been well noted.

I'm not sure what this argument is?

Not saying he wasn't snubbed! He 100% was IMO. But lets not clutch any pearls over just "one" controversy.

Hell of a coach! But if the voters were being petty. It wasn't just one thing that tarnished the mans legacy.

The Jets Resignation (2000): Only one day after being named head coach of the New York Jets, Belichick resigned by writing "I resign as HC of the NYJ" on a napkin, subsequently moving to the New England Patriots, causing massive controversy.

EaglesGate (2005): Allegations that the Patriots stole the Philadelphia Eagles' playbook or recorded their practices prior to Super Bowl XXXIX.

Spygate (2007): The most significant scandal, where Belichick and the Patriots were caught videotaping New York Jets coaches' signals from an illegal location. Belichick was fined $500,000 (maximum allowed and largest for a coach in NFL history) and the team was fined $250,000 and lost a first-round draft pick.

Deflategate (2014-2015): Allegations that the Patriots manipulated game ball pressure during the AFC Championship game against the Colts. This resulted in a $1 million fine for the team, loss of two draft picks, and a four-game suspension for quarterback Tom Brady.
I can assure you none of this contributes to 6 rings and 12 super bowl appearances. "Cheating" only gets you so far in life. That and we all know the majority of these scandals were witch hunts because the Patriots were always winning. Deflategate for example, Brady literally came back from suspension and defeated the entire NFL that year including Rodger Goodell.

True, but it's no secret that Tom Brady surgically increased the size of his hands during the suspension.

You cant compare what was happening in the 1960s to today. I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. The league had nearly 50 years of players to shove into the Hall in 1963 when it opened. They just put George Halas & Curly Lambeau
in. Its more of a first things first at that time. Not a snub.

In case you forgot where this all started. I'll catch you up.

I said the voters were petty, and they were holding all the cheating stuff against BB. Which they absolutely are.

You said the cheating stuff was overrated. And to quote you, other coaches "worked the angles to get an edge, including my guy Bill Walsh"

I then said the voters kept cheaters like Walsh from being 1st ballot as well. Which proved my point. No clue what you are rambling about now. I never said BB didn't deserve the Hall.

I didnt have to even look at your user name to assume you were a fan boy with this reply.

Pats fans will always say, sure. We cheated. We got caught. We got punished. But it didn't really matter! We didn't need to cheat! As if any of that erases what happened.

True or not, we will never know. As they did cheat, did get caught. If it mattered or not, we cant say.

You should stop watching football entirely then because 90% of the players are on steroids.

BB didn't make the cut because, what used to be journalists, are no more. They've devolved into political activist journalists. The one journalist that had the stones to put his name to it fits that category. I guarantee the others do as well.

My sweet, dear Grid. I'm not trying to fight with you.

I disagree with all of your causality and logic, but that doesn't mean I don't respect your opinion. I think my point of view was pretty clear, and reasonable. And shared by others, clearly.

Maybe this means we get two of the three in from the players - Anderson, Craig, Greenwood. All three seems like a stretch, but that is the max with 5 senior nominees I think.

When is TB12 available to go in?

Feels like maybe they are just holding Kraft and Belly off so they can all go in together

It’s pretty much a slam dunk Brady is not getting in first ballot.

Heck, Kraft has been eligible for 14 years…
