Yes--with a print run of 116,000 sets...what would constitute a "SSP"--500 printed? I don't think they did a breakdown, but if anyone has seen odds/ratios I'd love to see the calculation. I have 2 sets on the way.

For NBA, I saw 3 cards today—earlier—Flagg, LeBron, Harden…8.99 each for 1…but Harden 5/10/20 packs were cheaper. Is this another example of a Topps cash grab? None of them had any special cards. Does Topps decide stars are up charged?

Yea they started this sometime last year.
I believe the first "star" that got the higher price treatment was Jackson Holliday.

If I had a nickel for each person that ordered two sets and got two of the same Roki Sasaki SP, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

NO, not "Like" a win. As a collector I was looking for 2 different "Hits". And at the price they charged for the set it's not worth paying the presale price. You can get the whole set and the Sasaki SP for a whole lot less than the presale price off eBay. That means I could have bought 2 whole sets and chose a couple different "Hits" paying a whole lot less. This doesn't sit well with me!

I have been collecting Topps Now since 2016 and spent so much $$$ with Topps I was a Platinum member in 2018, now I am seriously considering stopping all Topps purchase. Fanatics has destroyed the online offerings from Topps (Topps Now and The Living Set for me). Maybe I'll give it one more year, since the Dodgers are predicted to win again this year, and hope Fanatics sees their mistakes in changing the format and revert back to a collector friendly format. For example, the lottery style distribution of Topps Now Autos over being able to purchase what you want for one. Also the elimination of The Living Set Checklists. These are just 2 example but the list goes on. Changes like these have really made this set (and The Living Set) not worth collecting any more. If Fanatics persists with their "make money and forget the collector" format, I hope all collectors realize what a money grab/joke Fanatics made of this set basically saying F**K the collector and we all stop purchasing this/these set(s). I never thought I would be saying this but Fanatics, you have screwed up a good thing and made it all about the money you can suck out of collectors. Not cool and I for one am very disappointed!!!

OK very early, but wanted to see if someone can let me know maybe based on previous years sets. I'm ready for 2026 Road to Opening Day. If they make team sets again this year, is there any chance JJ Wetherholt is in the set? He is almost certainly starting the season with the team now with the trades the Cardinals have made. But I assume they won't announce anything officially until near the end of Spring Training. Is there anyone you can comp this scenario to that was in the road to opening day sets?

With no MLB experience, I doubt he makes the RTOD set. There were a couple years where Topps issued an extra card in the RTOD set for a rookie on some teams after they made their debut during the regular season. That alone tells me this isn't happening. Rookies in the RTOD set usually had a "Call Up" card the previous year. Of course, if the guy does something special during the year, he will get a bonus card from the RTOD set.

Unless I'm missing something, he's not on the 40 man active roster.

At some point Topps has to start planning these sets and selecting players for them. That is rapidly approaching if not already in progress.

Jackson Holliday was the closest comp I could think of and he wasn't in the 2024 set. When did they stop doing the player to be named spot in the team sets, was that like 2022?
