Well, it's everyone's favorite time of the season; The big game changing, high spending January transfer window (with massive amounts of sarcasm). Let's see how many (if any) major deals can shake up these leagues mid-season!
Top 10 Transfers Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth > Manchester City): $86m Lucas Paqueta (West Ham > Flamengo): $49.5m Conor Gallagher (Atletico Madrid > Tottenham): $49m Brennan Johnson (Tottenham > Crystal Palace): $46.5m Oscar Bobb (Manchester City > Fulham): $37m Taty Castellanos (Lazio > West Ham): $34m Mattéo Guendouzi (Lazio > Fenerbahçe): $32.5m Rayan (Vasco da Garna > Bournemouth): $29m Marc Guéhi (Crystal Palace > Manchester City): $27m -

If Man City go out and sign Semenyo, we will need to respond. The LW position was something we needed to address since the summer. Yes we signed Eze who can be deployed out wide, but outside of a hat trick against a struggling Spuds, I think he has been quiet poor. Very lazy on this pitch, gives the ball up too easily and is very wasteful.
Madueke was clearly signed as an alternative to Saka. On the left we have Trossard and Martinelli. I will give them their flowers, I think Trossard has been one of our most important players in big games, especially in games where Saka has been under extra coverage (like during the Villa game). Martinelli outside of the UCL has not done very much and at the end of the day, preforming in the league is the bread and butter and what we need to see the most of. Semenyo has a release clause which is up i9n 9 days, he is as good as sold. The concern is the availability of other players with teams less willing to sell midseason. Yildiz would be my ideal signing and I think would be perfect to rotate with Trossard. Rodrygo would be my second pick and would be more probable with the squad depth of Real Madrid compared to Juventus. Rafael Leao would be the third but with AC Milan in their first true title challenge in over a decade, I see him as pretty much untouchable.

For clubs that have holes to fill, I don't understand why they aren't negotiating in December so that they have players ready to sign on January 1st. This is what happens in the NFL/NBA/NHL....the first day of free agency tons of deals get announced.
Instead, clubs wait until January 1st to START negotiating, and players generally don't get signed until the end of the month, after their new clubs have played another 5-10 matches. |

because negotiating a deal or signing paperwork for a player that could get injured a day before the window opens is stupid.'
there's also contract constraints, work permit length and consideration and a whole load of other boring crap. |

Sounds like Adeyemi is looking to get out of Dortmond. Or more specifically his lady is.
Still surprised that Osimhen is not higher on the list of big 4 league teams needing a striker...has everyone in those leagues given up on him at this point? |

He's on massive wages, had a massive release clause and is by all accounts a total and utter a-hole to staff and players.

Yeah Tsimikas back in to cover Kerkez, who has actually been playing really well over the past 6 weeks or so after an unsteady start, making Robbo surplus to requirements. Wish he’d stay but I get it. Robbo still feels he has first team minutes in him, and he especially needs it leading up to the World Cup. Tsimikas is a significant drop off defensively.
Kerkez and Wirtz have struck up a good partnership. Obviously, the same can’t be said for Gakpo, who is allergic to both the end line and all interplay with his overlapping defender. ![]() Hoping this relationship helps us land Van de Ven! center back is going to be a priority for a while.

I wouldn't be surprised to see James Trafford at Leeds next season (if we stay up).
By all accounts was a gnats pube from joining before the window closed. |

It looks like we're open to letting our new Brazilian GK go already, Perri.. and Meslier is on the verge of a move to Turkey. WOuld be very happy with Trafford, though if he is open again to a move i'm sure there will be a lot of competition. |
