(My typical order will be 5 cards going forward, which will cost me about $65)
PSA Canada is now C$35 for value bulk. I can do everything myself with CGC for a little less (including shipping and import) and have cards in hand in 6 weeks. It's a no brainer

I've had a couple of cards fall into that category. Those are going to be cards they can't positively identify or the manufacturer may be questionable.

One I get. It's a 2001 Legends Sports Anna Kournikova. Very generic.

The other is a Pokemon card. I threw in a few Pokemon cards to get my bulk moving faster...and it worked.

I think CGC will get more cards based on how much hate is being aimed at PSA. Sports will take time to gain traction because sports is locked down by PSA. I AM HOPING sports will gain traction with the converted PSA submitters like TCG has. Without completion, I mean real completion like CGC can offer, the sports sector is cooked.

I've given them 5 sports subs in the last 1 1/2 months. I'm trying to encourage others I know to join in.

Awesome. I have been doing likewise. I am pretty much TCG, but if we don’t take a stand they will keep up their bs. I actually cracked a Luka Chronicles Blue /99 from PSA and it got the Gem Mint 10 it deserved.

Anybody done a drop off at a show? CGC is coming to the show in Spartanburg SC next weekend and I wanted some feedback on doing a drop off.

I did. I dropped off at a show on 01/04. It was received 01/08 into their system. I got the economy order back the end of January.

i have sent a few orders to CGC, specifically the CGC/JSA dual service. There is a bulk submitter named Hawks Breaks, that lives close to CGC and offer $13 per card bulk rates and $15 per card on dual service which is attractive to me. This is not a promotion for them and i have nothing to do with them but have submitted a few orders with them. As someone that has sent hundreds of cards to PSA for dual service, there are a ton of cards that make more sense to send to CGC/JSA at $15 a card then the current $32 a card to PSA.

This is my second majority-sports submission this year. I've always preferred the quality of CGC's slabs (clearer and less obtrusive label), although PSA has admittedly made strides in this department with the redesigned slab.

If CGC can't gain traction following PSA's price hike and further delays, it may be over for them in the sports segment. I would love for the company to claw it's way to about 25% of the sports market - right now it sits at about 8%. Seems like a big climb, but CGC has about 30-35% of the TCG market, which is more than enough to gain better resale price parity (probably 85% of PSA's value). At it's peak, SGC was running those kind of numbers. There is literally no reason to use Beckett or SGC, in my opinion, at this point. Those submissions should all go to CGC to drive better competition.

The key is to continue to strategically use CGC for sports card grading!

They were pretty tough on my 1 vintage Pele in my 1st sub. It's one of the nicer copies I'd seen of that set and it came back with a 1. I think they hit me for the back because that was the only area worse than the PSA 4 I own.

They are the 2nd biggest grading company by a pretty long shot and I have no doubt they will continue to take market share from PSA because they are excelling at what should be the 3 main characteristics of a good grading company - Affordable prices, quick turnaround time, and great customer service. The only thing PSA has going is the best resell prices but when they completely suck at every other aspect how long will that last??

I'm sending CGC 100+ sports cards per month and have started focusing on sending big names and/or cards from brand new sets because they will be graded and returned 4 months before PSA so if anybody wants a GEM MINT 10 copy of a brand new card the only choice will be a CGC slab which will help bring some exposure to how nice these slabs are in hand.

I'd add accurate and consistent grading.

I am a certified dealer and can submit bulk sports for you. Also Mark Hawkins with Hawks Breaks is local to Sarasota and would be a great choice and has more range of options.

This is so accurate and what I have done with Topps Chrome Basketball. I am getting them back in 3 weeks and for refractors, cards people should not send with faster service at PSA, I have a big jump on PSA 10’s. I have the only 2 Cooper Flagg Youthquake Refractors CGC 10. One being auctioned at the moment. I have both from the pop report last I checked.

All I send to CGC is pretty much sports. I'm an OG from the green label days. 99% of what I've sent them is sports. I'd say I'm closing in on having sent them close to 1,000 cards. (Probably around 800 now) Its what my PC mostly resides in. That and PSA. I guess where I dont help is I dont sell many as they are apart of my PC for now. ha. So while I may not help create comps I do however show them off on my IG frequently.
