I knew Limited Run made trading cards, but I didn't realize they created any booster boxes. Usually their cards are giveaways that you get when you pre-order a video game from their website.
Looks like they made 4-pack boxes of Sega Dreamcast cards and 24-pack boxes. They feature Sega-owned video game characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Space Channel 5, and Samba de Amigo. There are inserts and serial numbered cards, but they don't give many details other than it's a 200-card set. Has anyone broken any of these boxes? https://limitedrungames.com/collecti...15ac790c&_ss=r https://limitedrungames.com/products...EGFGcnfbwvK6oc "The coolest trading cards to grace your eyeballs and touch your fingertips. Each trading card features art from your favorite SEGA Dreamcast games. From Sonic Adventure to Jet Set Radio, get your binders ready to fill with the greatest games of the Y2K generation. 4 card packs. 5 cards per pack. 20 cards total featuring some of gaming's greatest legends. Heroes. Villains. Musicians. Fighters. Monsters. Rebels. Unleash them." Looks like there was even a Sonic binder, card sleeves, and a storage box: https://limitedrungames.com/collecti...43997669392437 I guess I didn't realize how many different trading card products they've put out besides their promos. I see card packs for Doom I + II, a small Felix the Cat card set, a Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure set, a Far Cry 3 set, Jurassic Park set, Doom Eternal set, and lots of different binders and boxes for the Dreamcast set. https://limitedrungames.com/search?q...prefix%5D=last |

Did some digging and found some Reddit threads with photos:
https://www.reddit.com/r/limitedrun/...ew_and_photos/ https://www.reddit.com/r/limitedrun/...cards_arrived/ And some unboxing videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkbKZPxdvhU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN0Rmw0YmY4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfB_WNKI_rw I see a checklist for LRG cards, but it doesn't include this set: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?gid=0#gid=0 One of the Reddit posts includes a screencap of all the checklist cards though, so I'll attach that pic.

Oh man I bought the Sega Dreamcast on launch day, definitely one of the only people to do so LOL. It was such a failed project but was actually a pretty good console, was my first foray into using my device as a media centre that followed on with the Xbox and WDTV and now running my own, but man this is such a trip down memory lane. I still have the console in the garage somewhere I think with a bunch of original games and stuff.

I had 3 games from checklist— chu chu rocket, crazy taxi, and jet set radio. There was even a chu chu app for the phone about a decade or so ago. I probably would buy the chu chu character cards if they pop up on COMC. Sonic cards would probably be cool too but for some reason I did not have any of the Sonic games after Genesis.

Thanks for starting this thread. I went down the rabbit hole and picked up some cards from an older set by the same company (Limited Run). It looks like one set even had some Scott Pilgrim cards. I snagged the Ramona Flowers…

The Romana Flowers is card #208 from LRG Series 2.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=2049092302 Looks like there are 10 Scott Pilgrim cards in that set, #207-216. The LRG checklist only goes up to Series 3, Jan. 2022, but I know they still produce cards. |

Cool… thanks for the additional information. It also seems that most cards in that set had the generic Limited Run logo back, but the Scott Pilgrims actually have character info on back.
