Yeah of course. I know you were responding to someone else. But for example, the SP Authentic doesn't really do it for me. I was younger at the time so I didn't care about SP Authetnic being a top set for cards. And he's in a practice uniform and the design is just meh in my opinion. I would much rather have a UD Gold Reserve or a Showcase instead.

And the SP goes for about 10k at this point in a BGS 9, and even a 6-8 grade for PSA/BGS is going to be 5k-7k range based on recent sales. So yeah, I'd much rather have two of the Gold Reserve/Showcase/lower-end-RC-autos available (or all three possibly). I don't see what's so special. Again, I wasn't privy to how good of a set it was back then and I don't care. Which makes Pacific cards more appealing to me, because apparently they were lower end sets but I liked the designs back then and still do now. Personal preference vs value.

Which ones did you see? Prices definitely have gone up but it seems like most of his cards are regularly sold online. Availability is there for almost all of them, except the really low serial numbered ones which aren’t even desirable or a ton of $ anyway

I’m guessing they will send an email right after the auction ends, did they?

Then from there, payment info for the first time, then select where it gets shipped

Just got the email! I was confused why I didn’t get anything but it was waiting for extended bidding on other items to end.

I’ll show everyone what I got when it arrives

I will say, I was really close to grabbing either a 2000 bowman or a 2000 bowman chrome. The thing that made me not pull the trigger was the high pop count for both. Regardless of how liquid the card is. I really wanted something that was numbered and had a set rarity. Excited for the card to come in

Both Bowman cards have significantly lower total population counts compared to other GOAT rookie cards like Jordan or Gretzky. That really highlights how much scarcer they are in graded form. And considering those GOAT rookies sell for 10–15× more, these still look like a bargain to me.

I completely disagree with this. His best and rarest cards are not available very often, if ever. It may be that you are referring to base rookies and rookie parallels only? Not sure, but his rare on card autos and patch on card autos do not come up often, most are in PCs and will be for a long time. In terms of his best PSA 10 rookies, a lot of those do not come off too often either, with most being low pop.

Bowman, chrome, even contenders etc are regularly up for auction

Rookie autos, when they do come up for auction, never even sell for a lot unless it’s contenders. I don’t know anything about patch autos, I was talking about rookies only

That is what I thought you meant, rookies, in which case, correct. I mean his rarer on card patch autos and low numbered refractors like Mosiacs /10 for example. His rarer cards are mostly from 2012-2021 (on card autos), most of which are numbered to 25 and less. Cards like Flawless, Immaculate and NT come to mind. Non auto cards like gold Prizm and Kaboom gold (and any 1/1s) are very much desired. I would also include any Refractor, X-Fractor of 20 or less as well.
My personal favorites from 2002-2004 are his Topps on card autos in Gem Mint condition and Ultimate Jersey Auto in Gem Mint condition (with bold autos).

No surprise anything low numbered but it kind of reminds me of today, as far as him having lots of low serial numbered non rookies, how many Paul Skenes 1/1’s are there?

Seems like at a certain point there’s so many low numbered ones that they’re not super special

If a Brady card was made today /10, I guess it would be valuable too

I could tell you a few of the rare sales I saw and heard about, but it would trigger a few people on here.

But instead I'll say this: What I noticed about the shows 6 months ago and 12 months ago is that a lot fewer high end Autos were available this time around.

Brady doesn't have all the high end stuff the MJ and Kobe had (with Exquisite, key 90s inserts like PMGs, Credentials, etc). The market seems to be making it's mind up on what the iconic and rare Brady stuff is to chase.

Judging by your account creation date, you're kind of new around here (unless you're a PBM).

But you may have noticed that there aren't a ton of super high end collectors posting on Blowout anymore.

It wasn't always that way. But what's happened is that a lot of the folks who have been very successful in cards these last 8-10 years have just gotten tired of trying to help out newer entrants to the card market and in return just having to listen to their smart a $$ responses when they should be listening and taking note if they were serious about this hobby.

I'm probably one of the last collectors who have managed to profit significant amounts and still post here regularly. The ones that still do have active accounts post very sparingly, and I understand why. The reason I do it is because there are still a few connections around here that I find valuable, and along the way I have been able to help a few people the way some folks helped me a 12+ years ago.

I was here reading before the Covid boom, let's say. I get what you're saying but there's a lot to unpack. First of all, I'm not looking for advice. But I do get it, it can be annoying. I'd venture to guess that a lot of these "high end" posters probably got burned the F- up during the bubble pop and lost tons of money thinking they were geniuses buying into the bubble off the back of some profits they made from cards prior. But who knows.

I enjoy talking about ideas. Market Trends. Values. I like it. I've already admitted the Gold Prizm early years and Select - are valuable cards. They're cemented now. But they were also pumped, it's not mutually exclusive. So here's some evidence, the 2013 Gold Brady Prizm is up on Premiere right now. That same card sold in June 2024 via Fanatics, Feb. 2022 via Goldin, and 2017 PWCC (Fanatics) prior to that. The same exact 10/10 serial number copy. And you think that isn't an auction house pumping artificial sales? Just an example here, but that's pretty blatant to me.

I'm not sure what the point is here, but just share the details bro.

I will say, Bowman and Bowman Chrome will always be up there for Brady. Bowman is highly regarded in the card collecting industry, which props it up a little bit.

Is it a guaranteed top 5 RC for Brady? No, but I still think it is a solid card to have and a few years ago I thought was a bargain how much it dipped.

It was featured in the video made by panini about the making of a Tom brady Jersey card. The video is now posted by the NFL on YouTube called “ Immaculate production: Making Tom Brady’s game worn Jersey card. It’s featured at 0:06 (bottom right) and at 3:51. It’s the 1/10 card. This is a great video if any of you haven’t seen it yet. Any idea on the value of this card? Any bump from being featured on the video? Not sure myself so I thought I’d ask the group.

I just checked them out. some nice ones for sure. I am interested to see what the SP Authentic rookie graded CGC "authentic" sells for. could possibly be a good somewhat affordable copy for a collector. no doubt trimmed, but it is better to have a copy one can afford than no copy at all
