Those games will be absolutely flooded with people trying to buy up those cards. Rutgers closest to me but not worth it. People will try and say it's close to the Dodgers card but it's no where near that level and each teams gets 3 games worth of promos.

Still kinda cool. More on eyes One Piece like it really needs it right now lol Market is insane.

Not a college basketball fan, but keeping One Piece in the limelight is fantastic!

So many GREAT characters - heroes and villains!

The official US One Piece stores stopped selling sealed boosters (limit 1 per day) to people and are now limiting to 6 packs from those boosters. 6 per day limit. I thought they were going to be sleeved booster packs. Nope straight from the opened boosters.
This week the Arlington Heights store right outside Chicago has OP10, 11, & 12. Made two runs so far. Want to rip and I'm thinking its not the worst thing to get packs from the booster as long as you know those aren't dead packs. Which coming straight from the store where no packs are opened they should be. Maybe lower downside, I literally could get zero hits if I get unlucky on those 36 packs. But also upside higher because the inverse is true. I am not limited to the standard 2/3 hits per booster. I could get 5/6 hits from those 36.

My son is heading back to college this week and he spent the whole Christmas break talking One Piece.

He started playing at the beginning of the 1st release and played for a year or so but thought it was too expensive.

He has some nice cards but now since he has some money he wants to invest and try his luck.

Tonight I took him to Target and got him two packs because that is the limit.

When we got in the card he started yelling.

Nice pull! I got hooked on the OP craze of two years ago. It dipped a fair bit for a while but thankfully I loaded up, graded, and held most of my collection. Got lucky and grabbed a few of the recent illustration boxes and got the Shanks Silver SP

The OP market still has quite some room to grow, especially as the new Netflix season approaches.

After spending a lot of Friday looking for OP14, and really coming up empty at Targets, got around to ripping these packs from above. Above Average hit rate for individual packs from separate boxes.

54 packs: 1 SP, 1 Leader Alt, 1 Secret, & 7 alts. Very happy with the Newgate SP.

Is OP14 supposed to be good? My local target had rows of blister packs available but a limit of 2 per person/day.

It's worth picking up at MSRP but I would say it's a mid set. I got my pre-orders for my cases in early for OP14 and sadly still waiting for them but it's not close to worth market prices right now.

Still about 10 cards selling over $100 which is not bad for a mid set. In comparison, pokemon rarely has more than a handful of cards selling for that amount in any given set. IMO a lot more value in OP than in Pokemon via alt arts, Don cards, SEC's and even playable SRs. Also, the condition of OP is about as good as it gets with extremely high gem rates and candidates for BGS Pristines and Black Labels.

Anyone open Illustration boxes 5/6? I bit the bullet and paid scalper prices for some. Cheaper then boxes and I don't trust buying loose packs/sleeves from the secondary market.

I haven't found any Illustration boxes for 5/6. I was fortunate to find 8 boxes of the 1st illustration box at the Base Exchange when they were released which had the Nami and Boa promos

What are people’s future predictions of the One Piece market?

Does it stay popular and in demand long term or is this a flash in the pan moment we are experiencing?

Seems like it has legs..

I think it absolutely has legs for collectors and for players. Bandai announced re-prints for OP13 and EB03 so hopefully it's a sign of massively printing sets to deal with the recent influx of the "investor bros" who jump from game to game these days to pump them and move on.

Hugely popular IP, Manga/Anime and Live Netflix show.

I think it will continue to solidify itself as the #3 TCG after Pokemon and MTG. The downside is the Manga will like end in the next 5-7 years so who knows what happens after that.

Do these EB03 booster boxes have the alt art leader in all of them? 2/2 in my boosters and even hit 1 in 2 sleeved packs from Target.

Had a 4 hit box and a 3 hit box.
