I'm guessing next year.

He still brings it in spurts, but he's slowed down a bit this year.

averages:
2024-25: 24.5 points 8.2 assists 7.8 rebounds
2025-26: 21.5 points 7.0 assists 5.7 rebounds

Still excellent numbers, but not Lebron numbers

I expect two more seasons with the Cavs. He's said that he likes the idea of playing a quarter century.

Wrong.

There’s another that people hate most on an awareness to hate ratio.

But a lot probably don’t know him.

One more year. True motivation being the only active nba player to ever have not one, but two sons, playing in the nba. Skill-wise, obviously still very good but drive and passion aren't at 100% anymore and only turns up periodically now.

call me crazy, but if I was him, I'd taken a low offer from the Spurs, maybe the Cavs and play two more years.

I actually think he would be a nice fit with either team.

he will retire when Bronny plays his last NBA season, that way they can be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the same time

I could see him playing 1 more year in Cleveland, to come full circle and end his career where it started. Can't imagine this year being his last.

When he does announce his retirement, what does everyone think that will do to his market? At least an initial bounce, right? Especially his rookies.

Probably.

Lebron is narcissistic and will want league wide recognition, so he will likely announce his retirement with plenty of notice.

If I was topps/fanatics, I would take full advantage of this by numbering/marking his cards: "lebron's final year"/Lebron's retirement" or something along those lines.

I guarantee they'll come out with a LeBron-only set(s) commemorating his entire career. They'll milk that cash cow dry.

agree for sure, but it would be cool if they gold stamped say 100 of his topps chrome cards: "Lebron's last year" or with some sort of designation like that.

You'll know when it's his last year because it will be the goodbye tour of all goodbye tours. His ego will except nothing less.

You don't think he is going to want a huge ceremony the last time he visits each city?
