Selling the Cepeda? If so, how much are you asking?

Amazing Cobb! I need to add one for my PC. I finally went back into the 1800's. Grabbed this off of Fanatics Collect and will ship home in a few weeks. I hate cards with back damage, but to get a N300 for a decent price, you need to break your rules. Being a blank back, it is easier for me to justify the purchase. This is a strange card, because it is the HOF John Clarkson, but a few things that aren't right about it. He never played on St Louis, but his brother did. This was the same image used for his N28. He also retired in 1894. The total PSA/SGC pop for this card is around 70 I think and a high percentage just got a grade of an Authentic.

Great cards everyone! The Kell and Mathews are pick ups from todays Chicago Sports Spectacular. The Wilt is from last weeks Shipshewana show. I was hoping to pick up some nice 1954 Topps today but the ones that I was after were mostly graded higher than what I was prepared to pay for so I was happy to snag the two cards I left with. I didn't see the dot next to Ed's ear when I purchased and I fear that is going to bug me.

I bought this one a few days ago at seller's price, because they agreed on my offer on another card...

Tough to find a centered Gibson like that. Beautiful. However, I like the Ted even more. Great color on that!

Thanks. The Gibson was actually in a new PSA2 holder which I paid over comps for and then cracked out, because all my non Red Sox HOF Rookie cards are ungraded and I wanted to keep it that way. In addition to the centering the card has that rich pink color that not all Gibsons retain due to light exposure. This Gibson has no creases but maybe slight paper loss on the right edge which accounts for the tough grade, I guess.

I have actually been cracking a lot of slabs lately, mostly new PSA slabs. Another project I did was to sell off my 1975 PSA-graded minis and replace them with raw cards for a fraction of the price. New slab PSA 6 minis are often as good as old slab PSA 8 minis, so I took the money on the PSA 8s and replaced them with a raw set consisting of a lot of PSA 6 new slabs that look NM/MT.

I have picked up a few of the 1975 minis lately.

As a kid I thought they were weird and didn't pay much attention to them.

I should have kept them.

I still have my set that I bought from the Card Collectors Co. in 1975.

Cool. I’ll bet it is in nice shape rats60. I have been tinkering with the set for five years. It has been a wonderful challenge. After I sold off some 175 graded cards I reduced my total $ exposure to the set by 80%. I was left with 620 or so beautiful mostly commons and have been plugging in the missing ones. There’s no longer much point in getting any card from this set graded unless it is absolutely mint looking centered etc.

It was made from vending. The only issue is some cards were cut short at the factory. I have never collected graded commons. I just get the bigger cards graded and keep the commons raw.
