The art for Bam is good as always, but it would have been cool if it was a pic of him holding up the 83. I'm sure that would have generated more sales.

The artwork was likely done weeks or months ago, FYI.

I would be interested in learning when Angel finished the Bam piece. Topps might have caught a huge break with the timing.

From what I understand there's like a whole approval process with all the stakeholders. Maybe it's just the NBAPA or maybe it's the person themselves? Idk but I know it's pretty bad on sports and just horrible in entertainment.

I imagine Angel has to be at least a couple weeks ahead on each future release. I'm sure the NBAPA and/or Bam, himself, were more than happy to approve this card early. No better time to include him in the set.

I was going off other rookies and where he is in comparison but it’s seems there will be a drop off over time too

Only 90 better than Jalen Johnson. I guess the NBA is truly the haves and have-nots. Rookies have done well, and retired players have done well. I’m curious to see how Penny sells. He’s the first retired player featured that isn’t a Hall of Fame member.
