It’s an influencer… I think. He and his dad appeared on the last season of the Goldin a Netflix show.

Another big issue for sellers is the lack of eBay cross postings that have been occurring on new submittals. I would typically have very consistent eBay sales from items that were cross posted soon after pricing on COMC but that has dried up completely as COMC tries to deal with their shipping issues. That was especially lucrative for cards where I had a COMC monopoly or of niche players that would get a wider audience on eBay among collectors with saved searches, etc. That has all but dried up lately.

What a sad, sad mess
When you submit make sure you have a list of the cards you wouldn’t want lost or go missing. A couple of prior submissions I thought I had cards go missing. I saw another seller with a couple but they were sold quickly for lower values. I complained to comc to check and they told me unless I had a list of every missing card they wouldn’t help me. After that I slowed down on any subs. Not to mention the seller who dumped them didn’t carry other cards like the ones I had. Entirely different genre.

You are a good person for reporting it repeatedly at least.

Make sure you document thoroughly any cards you submit that you wouldn't want to lose. Several emails and no follow-up from COMC regarding the 40+ missing cards from my last submission. Luckily, it was a standard submission, but still unacceptable. Started the process of moving on from COMC over the past week. Can't say I'll miss the platform

It's probably worthwhile to do some sort of cost / benefit analysis. Download a month's or several month's worth of sales. Look at the items which sold between 76 cents and $2.50 ("Sale Price" column).

You get $0.7125 "COMC Credit" when a card sells for 75 cents. If you subtract .7125 from the COMC credit you received from each of the the 76 cent to $2.50 cards, that is the amount of excess credit you received from having cards in that price range. If it's less than $50, it's probably not worth upgrading the account. If it's a lot more, it might be.

Another thing to look at is how many pages in Inventory Manager you have of cards which are priced 76 cents to $2.50. Without an upgraded account, you'd have to pay 1 cent per card, or $1 per page in Inventory Manager if you are looking at 100 listings per page.

Consider what might happen if you were to simply take every card priced 76 cents to $1 and just priced them at 75 cents. If you had a free account, what impact would that have? If each card which sold in that range sold for 75 cents instead, how much less would your store credit have been?

To a retail buyer on eBay or a person who is not in Advanced Reseller Mode, this price change increased the price they see by 25 cents. If every seller were to drop every price of every card by 25 cents, those people would notice no change to the prices they saw a month ago.

If the card was originally priced at 26 cents, that's a huge drop in base price. But for cards which were priced at 76 cents to $2.50, it might not be that terrible.
Thanks...COMC should really pay all of you guys for all of this information.

Most of my epack stuff is taking a dive with the license change and also well all the fees from COMC. I will reevaluate in a month or two but for me my sales are really random.

Thanks again for your thoughts.

Only one voice. I am still purchasing cards for $1-3. Never really purchased sub $1 cards unless the actual price should have been $1+.

If it can beat eBay. I still purchase via COMC.

That is me. Small sample size.

Ahead of the price increases they stopped listing my cards (that I had COMC monopoly on) on ebay, so that I wouldn't be able to sell them before price increases. Now, after the fact still none of my cards get cross posted to ebay.

So much for better customer service... I've repeatedly reached out in the past couple of weeks about a card graded by PSA returned to my account with the wrong label AND a submission that should've been completed back in November that still hasn't been fulfilled. Zero response about either.

Yeah. Waiting on several for weeks. Tried all the tricks...nothing. Annoying.

Same for me but my personal opinion is they aren’t really cross posting any new cards at all because of their shipping woes. Seems like the cross posting ship has sailed sadly.

I have a few cards I purchased on March 11th that are listed on ebay. Nothing since then though.

Totally. I enjoyed a shipment every month or two over the last couple years but I'm simply not finding much there worth buying these days. Took another cash out today. I'm getting far more bang for the buck on the card show circuit. My 40% off bracket sale is doing okay. 390 cards sold for $563 or $1.44 each.

I'm sure some in the batch I sent in October that is not even started and now a month late submitted at the cheaper sell rate (and buy rate) are going to be sitting a while. That isn't my fault. I used to send a ton of my card show quarter, 50 cent, and dollar box finds there thinking a 50 cent to dollar or so profit on each card in a shipment isn't too shabby so long as most didn't sit too long. I still have that line of thought but simply will not be able to submit the same volume of sellable cards at current pricing for both seller and buyer.

COMC is almost a month overdue in shipping me my cards from Epack.

One place it says shipped another it says Ready for Shipping.

I just happened to have a different issue with epack and after that was solved asked them about my order and they contacted COMC (who has not replied to me) for an answer. And I had the answer in about 1.5 hours. So maybe that is the way to turn the heat up on COMC to contact UD direct through their epack contact email.

Kinda ridiculous.

Here´s another one for the COMC knowledge bank. This might be a somewhat rare scenario but anyway...

When you win one of their auctions and have auto-pay enabled in your comc profile, i.e. the card gets transfered instantly using comc credit, you won´t be able to open an item not as described case on ebay. I guess they have access to the database and as such an ability to mark transactions that get handled this way as completed without any actual tracking, etc. If you try, it sends you to an error page instead.

Might not seem like a big deal, or even logical at first but if you, like in my case, bid on a card that is different from what it is listed as and you only notice after you bid, you are at their mercy. And we know how that goes with the (can we still say current?) customer servies timelines. In short, 2 messages on ebay (one 5 days before auction even ended) and two emails (one after they said they wiped the tickets and to message again) still crickets.

The funny part is, the card got transfered to my account with an already corrected description. So about 2 months later I decided to just sell it myself and take the loss. Wasn´t too bad, fortunately.

If it happens with some top rookie optic vs. optic holo etc, it might be a different story, so yeah, keep your eyes open I guess. Comc won´t reply and ebay can´t help you either. If it´s a high dollar card you might actually be better off disabling autopay temporarily, pay for it through ebay//paypal and have it shipped home. That way you should(!?) at least be able to return it on your terms.

I know it’s still early in the day, but do we think we will see updates of the first round bracket battles scoring sometime today? Or will they just tabulate the scores after the day is over?

It would be nice to see live scoring but maybe that is too hard for them to pull off. Hyperlinks in the bracket linked to each player’s COMC store would also be nice. Currently, when I click on a participant name in the bracket it doesn’t go to their store.

These requested features will come attached with a 25 cent fee per a card. /s

Live scoring would be fun and probably generate a lot of “buzzer beater” purchases from people trying to win last minute. Oh well.

I have a couple grand I could spend on COMC - problem is anything worth buying for my PC is priced triple market value.

Sellers - if you want to move more, be competitive with pricing. I don't care if that card sold for $200 in 2014, the guy is out of the league now and its worth $5. Update pricing or have fun sitting on junk forever.
