Packman bites everyone. It’s not really a big deal.

ESPN switched over from glazing the 49ers free agent signings to pumping Ty Simpson's tires as possible QB1 in the draft.

Player safety first, right?

Add Thursday Night Football.

So games on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Saturdays too, in the last few weeks of the season.

Then let's add a game in England.

Make it two. No, this year three.

Then expand to 17 regular season games.

Then let's add games in other cities in continental Europe too. It's only eight hours travel time one way (from the East Coast). 13+ hours from the West Coast.

And .. let's add some other destination games. How about Brazil!

And let's add a Black Friday game.

And Christmas Day games!

And now we'll kick off the season on a Wednesday.

Only day we don't have a games scheduled for now is Tuesday.

No Tuesday games.

Yet!

But safety first!

Those pro athletes need a full seven-day week to let their bodies recover.

Or six days; six days is fine.

Actually once in a while, five days should be plenty.

Four at a MINIMUM.

They need to stretch the draft into about 2 months worth of programming, but they can't say the exact same thing every day for 2 months, so they come up with all sorts of incredibly ridiculous scenarios to play out, and discuss the ramifications thereof.

Oh hell - I'm watching every game I can.

Just don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining NFL - or I'll complain on an internet forum about it, while simultaneously consuming your product ravenously and having approximately 1/3 of my non-work clothes be NFL-licensed Eagles apparel!

And collecting licensed pieces of cardboard with your player images on them.

And flying a licensed flag in my garden area.

But I'm going to complain!

In order to sell more TV rights, they needed to expand and split games anyway they could. So they can sell more slices of pie, to more people. But it is just that, the same pie.

With very few exceptions, like having to play one or two games on more limited rest. Nothing from the above is making anything more dangerous. They are playing the same number of games, the same way, just on different days or in different places.

For the 2024-2025 season, NFL games are broadcast and streamed across roughly 10 different networks and platforms. The primary television broadcasters are CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, and ABC, while specialized games air on Amazon Prime Video, NFL Network, and streaming-exclusive services like Peacock, Paramount+, and Netflix.

All of this adds up to more money for the league. Revenue, that is being shared with all these players. So all those involved are 100% for it.

The NFL salary cap has grown by roughly 40% over the past five years, rising from $198.2 million in 2020 to a record $301.2 million per team in 2026. This represents an increase of over $100 million per club in just five seasons.

They're trying to grow globally. Only the US actually cares about football where as basketball grew globally and specifically in areas like China (massive market).

That much is obvious. Mexico City, England, AUS, surprised they haven't done a Beijing/Hong Kong game yet. All about the $$$$$

18 game season, you play every team in your conference, play teams in your division twice

Bye week after every game, so AFC plays one week and NFC the next

Two months off between seasons

The Cleveland Browns will not be signing AJ Epenesa, with the team uncomfortable finalizing the deal after the veteran defensive end had his physical, a source told ESPN on Sunday.

Cleveland Ravens

Wait for the three NN Browns fans to jump and defend it, they are too easy to get going

Just what the NFL needed to stay relevant til the draft in a few weeks..

Browns owner Haslem...says Deshaun Watson not out of the question to be the starting QB..

And the Pats making headlines....

Young star RB TreyVeyon Henderson catching backlash for posting a Bible verse in support of NBA "star/talent" Jaden Ivey....and his head coach Mike Vrabel coming out and saying "he (meaning Henderson as his player) needs to he EDUCATED..."

And this has been your NFL drama minute update

Interesting...

A lot of people seem to think it's April Fools joke...as I haven't seen it on ESPN, just from the NY AND CA Post...

Seen the Schefty tweet....but don't think he'd be that "classless" to joke about something of that matter..

He probably needs it as well to rehab his image lately, pun intended
