Im not sure where you are getting your numbers but there's a quick search shows several reputable sources showing Canada tourism numbers to Florida are DOWN 15% YOY and the increase in tourism is largely due to domestic travelers - not international.

Old post, but Houston and Miami have stadiums with retractable roofs. They will be closed when the temperature is too high. FIFA said they will be doing that with all stadiums that have retractable roofs.
