Default Lakers Fan or Clippers Fan?!

Not a huge basketball fan but every once and a while i watch it.

Sooooooo I just noticed that the clippers and the lakers play in the same stadium.

Never really put 2+2 together and figured it out.

Its weird cause the lakers turn the outter lights off during the games and the clippers have the place lit up. Anyone know why?

I guess its kinda like the giants jets thing but the question is

which team do you like and why? Lakers or Clippers, and hows the rivalry between the two teams?

As a Lakers fan, I am insulted by this question.

I'm in VA and Im a Lakers fan. Just who I liked when I was a kid and starting watching basketball, and we don't have a team here in VA anyways. And I don't think it's much of a rivalry, since the Clippers moved to L.A. in 1984 they have won 1 playoff series (i think) and the Lakers have won 8 titles.

LA and Southern California has always been a Lakers town and will always be a Lakers town. End of story.

I understand if you're a Clipper fan, be a Clipper fan. But the amount of band wagon and fair weather fans in sports today is absolutely unreal.

That's regardless of who you root for. It drives me up the wall.

Because the Clippers have never won a Division, Conference, or Championship title. Everyone loves a winner.

I've always been a Lakers fan, but I also root for the Clippers (unless they are playing the Lakers). But it's been hard lately. The bandwagon fans and the fact that they aren't loveable underdogs anymore is kind of turning me off to the Clippers.

And Southern California - from the Central Valley down to Tijuana - is and will always be Lakers Country. In fact, Bakersfield (where I live) was dubbed "Lakersfield" by Shaq because they sell out every exhibition game they play here.

Except when the Clippers are winning and Lakers are losing, then all of a sudden there are all these new Clipper fans.

Clippers fan since they draft eric gordon in 2008/09. I do still like kobe tho. And for those saying how lakers own LA, you haven't been to many clippers game then. They're mostly all sold out this year and this is now right next to staple center.

Give me a break. What a ridiculous comment. You've been a clipper fan for all of for 4 years. Congrats you got in on the ground floor. You are slightly less than a bandwagon fan. But to say that L.A isn't and won't always be a laker town is asinine. The crowd was still over half laker fans for the clips home game on Saturday.

Of course there games are all sold out this year. It's the new hit thing for bandwagon hipster douchebags to do, doesn't mean they come close to even rivaling the lakers fan base or ever will. The lakers have been selling out games since the 70's and 80's. Talk to me when the clippers string more than 2 seasons together in the playoffs much less have 16 banners hanging from the rafters.

I'm a Lakers fan from Michigan. It's who I've always watched and didn't mind watching them. Pistons haven't really given me a reason to be a proud fan of them. they blow.

Look at Stubhub listings for Clippers games. Tomorrow night's game has tickets for under $10. You'll rarely, if ever, see that for a Lakers game. Clippers games are at close to capacity now because amateur ticket brokers jumped on the bandwagon and now the market is flooded with season ticket holders trying to flip their seats.

That being said, I'm thinking about grabbing some $20 premier seats for the game on Sunday.

Prove me wrong Clipper boy. Not my fault you make horrible and non fact based comments.

Also thanks for being a fan and devoted reader, because I have read hardly any of yours. I got better things to do.

True, true. Thanks for doing the right thing and admitting I'm right. No need to argue facts. Good job, and your best post yet.

Quoted for truth. Take a look at Craigslist and see the prices people are trying to sell their tickets at. Clipper season tickets fans think they hit the lottery or something, it's funny. But bless their little hearts for being season ticket holders. The legit fans that have been through the ups and downs and not just been fans this year or the past couple years when they started getting some real talent, those fans and season ticket holders deserve it though. Nice they can finally make a couple bucks on their tickets.
