The first issue of REVIVAL, the “rural noir” series by Tim Seeley Mike Norton has sold out at the distributor level after its July 11 in-store date. It will receive a second printing, which will go on sale on August 8
Congrats to everyone who picked up 1st prints! If your stores still have any, grab 'em fast! This is a good sign.

I wish it would have just stayed at 1st prints...that way it will make the 1st prints more "rare" and valuable.
Another reason Saga #1 hasn't picked up...it has 5 printings!

People always want 1st printing more. It wasn't heavily printed. Don't fret, 1st printings are already going up.
The 1:10 variant has gone from 10-15 to 25-30 in the last week, and now even Midtown is limiting orders of hte base copy to 1 per customer Congrats to everyone that pre-ordered this puppy, appears to be a good one! Good story, picking up an audience, and value!! woot!!

Cool beans! Great news. I've still got about 10 WD #96's stashed away.
![]() I also found out Tim Seeley And Mike Norton’s Revival Has Been Massively Underordered Admittedly, this is not retailers fault. Not totally. Not this time. But Revival by Tim Seeley and Mike Nortan, featured in Image’s Free Comic Book Day volume, and with its first issue shipping in a month’s time (and probably out in advance for San Diego Comic Con, let’s face it) will have a feature in the back of The Walking Dead #99, which usually guarantees a massive spike in interest. The comic looks at small town life, when the dead come back to life, as fully functioning human beings. Which makes it perfect Walking Dead audience fodder. And Tim Seeley has form, with Hack/Slash… You remember what happened when they did this to Chew, right? At this moment, every store has underordered Revival #1. I just ordered 1 more from Midtown. They limit you to 1 per customer now.. Get them while you can at Cover price! Already selling for $5-$8 on Fleabay and only going up as supply dwindles.

I was shocked when I stopped by my store today to see not 1 but 2 variant covers and several regular issues. Needless to say, I grabbed both variants (for $6 each!) and a few more of the regular comic. I had preordered 15-20 and 2 variants already but I still may go back for more.

I also jumped up and bought the sketch covers because I heard they are limited to 500, they are cool looking, and I really like the story so far. It has a chew feel to it. |

The only comparison I'd make to Chew is that both books were severely under-ordered and jumped in value very fast.

Thanks for the tip, Indy. I received my 2 copies (including the variant) a couple of weeks ago and have stashed them away. I did read some of the story, and was getting hooked already.

I'd say, they keep going up every day. Don't be too quick to sell, I can see these going even higher and if the series really takes off at the 2nd, 3rd book we could be seeing $30-$50 on #1's

Especially if another broadcast (NBC, CBS, ABC) company wants to rival TWD...they could pick this up to "copy" AMC...it's the same yet different!

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this the case with ToT? Issue #6 hit this month so #1 would have been February? I was very late to the party. I think #4 had come out and I got a few 2nd prints of #1 and have been reading it since. But 1st prints of #1 were already at $50 and that was in May. They still haven't cooled down.

![]() The writing seemed forced with desperate attempts to ride familiarity and popularity with F-Bombs and Al-Queda. Even the Asian panels were poorly written and stero-typed in writing It MAY end up being a good read down the road, jsut not impressed at all with issue #1 So much easier for me to read comics online than in-hand Then again it also helps
