Default Heroes is next WEEK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love sporsts cards, but i am totally excited for Heroes next week. i bet there will be a lot of interest from buyers over seas. i think i'm going to limit my sales to the US. i don't want to deal with all of the hassels that come with shipping outside of the US.

It's too bad though that there aren't new episodes of this being run on TV. I have a feeling that no new episodes since November and no new episodes on the horizon any time soon (due to strike) may kill some of the buzz and hype around the show and this product. I hope I'm wrong though.

Yeh I can't wait either ---
I got in really early at a very nice price from my longtime non-sports distributor (no disrespect towards Chris but I've dealt with this guy for 17 years )and I can't wait for this as well ...
Totally undecided right now what I'm gonna do with my 3 cases .... wondering if holding them for a couple weeks might be a good move ( IF I could keep my fingers out of them) but we'll see .... I've even debated about getting a few more cases from Chris but I think I'll wait to see how the breaks are or if Topps kept this limited or not ....

I think it'll be interesting to see what the autos go for ... this is kind of uncharted territory and the auto lineup is really stellar .... it's tough not to see Ali Larter included however it's one of the best lineups of autos I've seen with every auto being a major part of the show so there's really no scrubs in the auto lineup which does'nt happen that much .... alot of other non-sports auto lineups might have guest star autos but Topps has done a real good job getting pretty much all the major players ......

My guess on a 8 box case will be 5 sketches , 1 costume and 2 autograph cards and it'll be interesting to see if Topps SP's any of the autos ....

I also wish the show was currently running but from what I've seen/heard there are some real hardcore Heroes fans so I'm not to worried about that ...
I will sell to any country but I will not accept Paypal which I know will hurt but I'm not willing to take the risk ...... I'll offer credit cards direct so that might help but not throught Paypal ... and yes I think there will be ALOT of overseas buyers on this product ...
I think if this release does well that it'll bode well for Indiana Jones Heritage ...

From past experience TOPPS almost always short prints what would be considered the best autos in a non-sport set (think Carrie Fisher for every single Star Wars set she signned for, Kevin Spacey for Superman Returns, Samuel L. Jackson for Return of the Sith Widevision, etc.) so I'd bet my next paycheque Hayden's auto will be a tough pull, possibly the Milo and Masi too.

Has there been any announcements about how many autos/sketches/memorabilia cards per box? The closer this gets the more Im thinking of just flipping my case.

Anyone else notice how Chris' case price has dropped over the last few days?

Now down to $350 per, or $325 each for two.

Demand not as high as expected, or did Topps hit the presses big time?

Default Just saw...

a post on the nonsportsupdate site shows the back of a pack with the stated odds:
Memorabilia Cards 1:44
Sketch Cards 1:86
Autographs 1:135

Seems like a legit scan of a wrapper.

Best to All,
Vinny

A lot of releases go down just before live. Americana was at $2100 and then jumped after it hit the streets. I wouldnt read much into the price drop. I still think the autos and sketch cards are going to do great!

Can we assume with that breakdown that the Autos will command a pretty penny? I sure as heck hope so with only 1 per case.
Man it would be nice to pull a Hayden

Already punted my 2 cases, made $150 profit. Not bad for swapping a mailing label.

I think this is what was referred to earlier in this thread. This came from another board:

I just busted through my 5 cases. I will not post any pictures or anything, but the Claire patch costume is the hardest to get (I did not pull one) followed by the Claire Costume, then the Hiro shirt/Issac Shirt.

I pulled 8/11 autos. Missing Adrian Pasdar, Noah Gray-Cabey, and of course Hayden Panettiere. Have an extra of Sendhil. It should also be known that Hiros signature is prob going to tick some people off, just a little mark really. Also, Milo did not sign his entire name like the sample on the Topps site, he only signed Milo. I am a little let down by this. I definetly did not do well with my cases. My sketches were pretty awful, I only pulled two or three that were really detailed, and although Color is NOT the norm (I know) I did not pull a single color sketch. All of my sketches are for trade and will go up on Ebay to go towards the three missing autos and the impossible patch card. I will get scans up after the weekened, I do not want to tick anyone off by breaking the street date.

not sure how those types of early breaks will affect the case price. I was looking to pick up a case or 2 to hold and sell sealed in the hopes this would be something like star wars was as far as case prices going up.

Looks like a consistent 8 hits per case. Do you think you did pretty well with your cases? I don't know anything about this product.
