Saw the preview at The Hobbit. Looks like a cross between Avatar and Mobile Suit Gundam almost.

Plus I just like Guillermo del Toro (did Hellboy among a bunch of other things, including a writer for The Hobbit) and if you haven't seen El laberinto del fauno (Pan's Labyrinth), it's awesome IMO.

Looks interesting - the monster reminds me a lot of the one from Cloverfield, which is probably one of my favorite movies. Cool!

Oh, and the title sounds like it could be a porn title. Tell me I'm wrong.

That's what it kinda reminds me of, and yes lol.

Stolen off Wiki, they also have some good people doing the effects.

He didn't do The Hobbit, Peter Jackson did.

Pacific Rim looks incredible, I can't wait to see it!

I think he was originally supposed to direct it and did some writing but that had complications.

If I heard right, the problem was he wanted to do things that the studio wouldn't allow, so he bowed out.

Nopes. Contract problems in New Zealand delayed production on the Hobbit for so long that he left to do Pacific Rim. It was that or stay waiting for 2-3 years to iron out labor issues.
