Default 2009 Topps Unique HUGE PULL NEED ADVICE

Hi Everyone,

Today I went to my local LCS and got the last box of Topps Unique. I began to open it and I knew it would be good as the first pack yielded a Gold Parallel #25 and a Roy Oswalt Prime Patches

O and I also pulled

An Abraham Lincoln Presidential Plates Black Bat Barrel #1 of 1 !!!!!!

My Best Pull ever...ANyone have an idea on what I should list it for? A JImmy Carter 1 of 1 is at $229 and I think Lincoln is more desirable.

ANy Thoughts are appreciated

I'd put it at $1,000 obo. I thought the plates were a silly add in (obviously not for you) but I don't know how much more it'd go for than the JFK...at least baseball was around in his era.

I agree with the $1,000 buy it now or best offer. This is a one of a kind card, so whoever wants it is going to understand they need to come big with an offer. If you put it up for auction you run the risk of fetching less than what you could have with BIN-though I guess 2 or 3 people could want it badly and bid it way more than you anticipated. But I think a buy it now with best offer is definitely the best idea.

I don't know. I kind of like pskell's idea of .99 and let it fly.

But then again someone may ante up 1,000 and buy it. You never know.

Regardless, very nice hit! I'd like to see a scan when you have time. Or a link to the ebay autction.

I really dont understand these cards at all ... to me, they are one of the stupidest inserts ever ... however, I agree with those above - set it at $1,000 BIN/BO - I would not be shocked if someone paid 6-800 for it.

.99 and let it run. It is manufactured bat barrel. Let the guys putting together that set fight it out in an auction.

If I did let it run for 7 days auction style then I could get a lot less than anticipated...

any other suggestions

This is true but some bidders and buyers like the opportunity of getting the item at a discount and will be more likely to bid well on it! Putting it up for a buy it now will turn several people away from it because they would rather bid!

However putting it up for the BIN of $1000 or best offer, you could get a bunch of good offers and several people who will offer you a couple hundred dollars.

Put it up for 7 day auction and be glad with what you get. Why stress out about your profit.

Let the buyers battle it out and sit back and relax, YOU MADE A PROFIT.
