What the heck is happening to George Springer!? 13 HRs

I picked up a few more tonight, this guy is ripping the ball! He hit his 13th HR tonight and has been hitting for avg and stealing bases, very impressive, wonder when he'll move up a level, he is 23 turning 24 this season. Would love to see him at AAA or the majors.

always liked him thought of him as a kemp type player only thing is hes pretty old and still in AA

47 K's is pretty high. I wonder if that is stopping him from being promoted.

I would think the astros would want to promote and see what he does they have nothing to lose hes almost 24 thats about the amount of games they'll win this season

He should be called up in 3-4 weeks when his Super 2 deadline passes.

hmmm I see one year of 24 swiped bags with the next closest 11. (I'm quite surprised he stole 24 bases in a year, he'd be a fantasy monster if he could replicate that)

i think this guy can be the real deal but probably will just strike out a lot for his outs. his avg has never really been a problem at any level so far, but he is older so we'll see.

Can anyone give a quick summary of the Super 2 rule, I know it deals with arbitration and certain elegibility but I mean, like in English... i hated labor law!

Most of their best prospects are still in the minors because they don't want to burn a year of service on any of them for this season... after June 1st they will be calling up Springer (among others).

If he doesn't cut back on his K's he wont make it. Hes got solid power/speed but if you strike out that much at AA imagine what those totals will look like in the show.

You don't want him to go to AAA... thats where MLB prospects go to die... the better route is AA to MLB and stay there... If a guy is in AAA its because he got sent back down cause he couldn't cut the mustard.

Hush, I'm still trying to accumulate more Springer before his stock explodes...

lol, i don't know if that is so true, but i have seen a lot of older prospects hang around there for a while. but not everyone gets the callup from AA. what i meant though by is he good was is he healthy since he hasn't played recently.
