Sweet idea but damn, sucks for those that trashed the boxes. Maybe the Machado or Puig were tossed already. The Puig 1/1 card can be as legendary as the Longoria Superfractor. Lastly, I'd imagine I'll start seeing ripped lids at retail outlets, sure it's likely a hobby only thing but it's not going to stop people!

There was a thread on here yesterday talking about the hidden cards in the A&G boxes. I immediately ripped my one box i bought open, but no luck. They were talking about how many they thought would get thrown away or damage while cutting, ripping, etc. Sorry you damaged the card. Pretty cool idea by Topps IMO.

What a joke of a 'promotion'....how would Topps feel if I "hid" some of the money I was using to pay for the box? Then they could go and root around in the trash looking for the money that was hidden....just plain stupid.

That makes it our fault actually. With how crazy people go over the Ginter code, we should be able to figure out ASAP something like "rip a cover" by Topps.

Default Thanks OP

I didn't hit one, but it gave me an extra thrill to the two boxes I purchased. Good luck all!

To some extent. Not fully. There are over avenues topps could of took. But didnt. I know our hobby as whole is smaller tben 10 years ago. But we number in the tens of thousands. So technically its a little of each, ours and topps. You are right tho, cuz its the code. Ripped through the fabric of time, speaking of which i wonder what the inside cover looks like...

Again, I was referring to Chris Olds at Beckett.
