I've never been around large groups fans of any other big league team for an extended period of time but I can't imagine there is a bigger group of pious fans who pat themselves on the back as much for being 'gritty' 'intelligent' and 'classy' as St Louis fans.

Most of my best friends and family members are Cardinal fans and that makes it even worse. Each year I have to listen for days about how (insert slightly above average Cardinal) got jipped out of the MVP or the Cy or the ROY awards. I have to endure the endless jabs directed at Pujols, the stupid memes they post on facebook, the catchphrases such as 12 in '12 or now 12 in '13 not to mention the lame Cubs comments to noone in particular since there are no cubs fans around. I have to play fantasy baseball with a league full of them where Molina, Beltran, and Wainwright are locks to be gone within 2 rounds. Only in a Cardinal league would a trade of Scott Rolen and Jason Motte be considered a fair return for Evan Longoria and Clayton Kershaw.

Yeah I hate the Cardinals, their whiney fans, their whiney team, their announcers and that turd of a city with its stupid Lumiere casino where I lost $200 one night playing poker.
Maybe the most perfect post I have ever read.

No, i've only experienced an idiotic fan base. Woe is me when they're losing and as boastful as a WWE wrestling promoter when they're winning.

I'd have to say the Whining at the Plate Award goes to the Red Sox, but I haven't watched the other teams as intently. As for whining on the mound, I haven't noticed any team doing that too much.

Every team whines about balls and strikes, I actually think this Red Sox team are very accountable and not douchey like other teams COUGH COUGH DODGERS BRAVES MCANN 2011-12 RED SOX COUGH

I dunno who says the fans are getting sick of the Red Sox but that is 10000000000000000000% false, everyone loves this team and there is NO mention of whining. None.

I honestly forgot to put the Braves on here. Sounds like they would be neck and neck with the Cards.

I would agree on half of this statement. On Balls and Strikes they have handled themselves within the guidelines of Post Season Arguing. On Check Swings they have been quite a bit more whiny when the video shows they swung all the way through the plate. This has happened a ton in the ALCS.

I thought real men had beards, but all the Red Sox do is complain.

It was all in jest, but it does hurt when a fellow Arkansan bad mouths my beloved Cards. But I grew up around your area. Went to school at AState.

Ahh I know, I can take a little flak anyway. Lord knows I get it all the time from my Cardinal friends. I graduated from Greene County Tech HS and then graduated from ASU in 05 and again in 08 with my MBA! When were you in school there?

I've been pretty shocked at how blatantly obvious they weren't able to hold up their check swings yet threw essentially a hissy fit about it.

It's one thing when you know you didn't go, but they've had some that weren't really all that close and they just bitch bitch bitch

Yeah, but I think those kind of comments would come up if any other team posted that as well.

Absolutely.

And let's not forget about the pitchers. Jon Lester complain about at least one pitch per at bat.

And let's not forget about the Red Sox players constant complaining about PED users.

In their defense they've had to deal with Joe West for 5 games

Haha I'm only half serious but I do honestly have to deal with more Cardinal fans than I care to admit.

In my neck of the woods Molina is the greatest catcher that has ever or will ever live. Bench, Piazza, Fisk and Campanella be damned. A bad word about him will envoke some death stares.

Absolutely false. Boston fans are not sick of this team. Most loved Sox team since 2004. Every team complains about balls and strikes, but to say fans are complaining about the Red Sox? No way. Not once and I live in Boston.

I guess living in Vermont makes you a Yankee fan?
