Yeah, I realize after opening the older and then these there has been a large drop off in decent hits. However, I have still pulled a few autos and Trout RCs from update never hurt your return or excitement factor. Besides, even now, I am way ahead of the little red box fun value wise

I ordered 10 of these Black Friday, complete garbage. Not a single card worth more than $1. They have to still be making these..

Still going to have fun whether I catch a Trout or a paper cut...these may just be the last red value boxes I ever open so I am happy either way the card luck swings....

Let me know if you are selling after your break. The cards in the pic, not the drugs.

Nothing from 2011 can be called nostalgic

Those empty drug bottles (previously filled with ibuprofen 800s) are now filled with Topps baseball MLB poker chips! I wish it was more exciting than Motrin and MLB Chips but at 44 with 3 small kids that's about as exciting as it gets

Best of luck to you, you had an amazing run on the original value boxes. Hope there is a hidden gem or two waiting for you tonight.

Can you keep me in mind when you bust the Value Boxes? I need 9 Cognacs to finish the entire set.

Thanks and good luck,
Brett

Even though I still have not yet touched the 30 boxes I have literally over 600-700 refractors. I believe without looking I have approx 350 red, 250 silver and about 80 gold. I am obviously not giving them away but would sell sets of 3 for the approx $15 value they usually fetch during baseball season. If not i plan on selling to someone all at once or in mini sets like 5 reds, 5 silver, etc. they should bring in a nice payday for something I just set aside for all my maniacal breaking of these red boxes. These boxes are literally the only boxes that paid for themselves. After paying about $12 per I would get $3 for the code card, $3-8 for refractor, and then $10 plus for a Trout from update and then there was the occasional monster hits. Unfortunately I have yet to pull much from the BO boxes but hoping that turns around. Somebody on here was saying these that BO has are somehow not the same ones that were on store shelves? Not sure how that is possible but if someone knows please enlighten me. Same was said with the 2010 buy back wrappers. I would believe that more since most packs were all collated the same. Definitely not what Topps originally released. It would be nice to hit the Harper buy back of which BO has had a couple actually pulled...

Opened 15 of 30 value boxes. In 2011 Update pulled 2 Mike Trout RCs and a Brandon League Topps 60 autograph.

In BC hobby no autos but 2 blue refractors to 150 of Mark Buehrle 1/150 and Felix Hernandez 44/150. Also pulled a BC rookie refractor of Trout.

Of the 15 boxes the Harpers had 12 reds, 2 silvers and 1 gold.

Hopefully the last 15 boxes are better but having fun nonetheless. I do believe the boxes from BO have been far less lucky then the retail ones that sat on shelves two years ago. I base this on opening about 60 plus value boxes from BO too date but who knows, the last 15 can change that opinion all around. I know there were those who were very lucky with these (me) and others who couldn't hit anything. Maybe odds trying to even out. This may be the last 15 left for me...tears shedding. I certainly hope the lucky streak is still intact. Thanks for patience.

I know that the first wave seemed to be loaded. I would pull 3 or 4 of the diamond code cards in every box. After that, I was lucky to hit 2 or much of anything else. Target by me recently had 1 on sale. I bought it. It was just like the first wave though, 4 code cards and Frank Thomas hope diamond /60. Good luck on the rest! I hope you pull something huge.

I completely disagree. Opened 20 and pulled a hosmer orange auto as well as a few trouts and a couple other autos.

From the Black Friday sale you hit those? Wow. I got ten myself, 2 Blue Ref Autos Jo Thon and Carson Fullmer and 3 Trout Update Rookies.

Good luck on the last 15, hopefully something good hidden in those!

Opened 10 from Blowout Black Friday as well. No Trouts of any kind, no gold Harpers, but I did hit 2 base autographs(AJ Cole and Trevor May I think) plus a Blue Diamond of the Mariners with Ichiro and Felix Hernandez #/60. I think I opened around 50 from Walmart and Target and only hit 1 Chrome autograph. Always a fun break for sure though.
