When Chipper isn't starting forest fires, he's saving former teammates from snow.

Awesome story, my favorite retired player saving my favorite active player from a snowstorm! Now, I'd love to give Freeman a hug someday but I'd REALLY like a hug from his super hot girlfriend. Celebrities and sports players get all the hot chicks

You guys who dog Southern drivers, calling them "idiots" and what not (not necessarily in this thread but in others, and pretty much all of the internet) ... you have no idea what it's like to drive on black ice with summer tires and no sand/salt on the roads, especially when you have never done it before.

Judging by what I have seen people do here in Texas, it is slam your brakes on right before and or during said ice patch.

Oh, don't get me wrong ... I'm not saying there aren't people here that use zero precautions while driving ...

I'm a terrible driver (been into five car accidents) and I'm not from the south. There are bad drivers that come from all over the place, not just the south.

Yeah I live in NE Alabama, and we got 3 inches of snow. Our city doesn't own a snow plow and only 1 salt truck, so we pretty much shut down until the sun can melt the ice.

The main difference is people up North actually have plans and equipment to deal with blizzards and ice.

Of course it wouldn't, since they REGULARLY have snow storms. Read this about why the South was hit so hard here and maybe learn a little bit.

Why the South Fell Apart in the Snow

Exactly, which is why you are more able to prepare and have resources to combat it. The article I linked tells the story. 21 out of the last 30 years we (Alabama) have not had ANY snow in January.

Why? Because you are one of the stuck up northerners who believes they are better than everyone in the south?
