Default 2013 contenders variations print runs?

Anyone have any insight on when and if we will get the variations numbers? Crazy to me that they haven't released them yet. Yes, we got the base sp and ssp numbers but why not the rest? I heard a rumor (yes a rumor!) that they lost them??? I doubt that's true but they devalued their own product!!

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are...."Oh no, now panini is ruining the last remaining old Donruss brand that I actually still like".

It's really sad isn't it? To be 100% honest, I'm not sure why they are doing this? Their sale value has completely plummeted which is a shame because most of us love contenders! From a business stand point, it doesn't really make sense

No idea why they're withholding them.

I opened my first box of Contenders ever a few weeks ago, and I hit a Joseph Randle RPA. All I know is that it's "SSP'd to 50 or less." It is somewhat frustrating not knowing the print run.

its terrible...I have a really nice Jamie Collins variation auto BGS slabbed, that they say is "SSP", /50 or less...They are tough to pull and I think its 30 or less, but how can we even begin to speculate. I want to sell the damn card but I don't want to pigeon hole myself before the numbers come out....its just a shame because this year, they LOADED the product! hits came big and pretty often but now, its lost all of its special feel

I can understand waiting a few weeks to drum up the hype and drive business, but the freaking 2014 draft is tonight.

I'm pretty new to all this Contenders SP stuff, but it seems pretty darn stupid to me. I imagine at this point they are hurting sales more than helping.

It's just all dumb to me...you would think that because 2013 contenders is not as strong as 2012 (with luck, griffin and wilson) they would get the numbers out so people would chase them!! now theyre products has dropped in price tremendously...when released it was fetching around $135 a box, not its $110..thats a ridiculous drop

Unfortunately, those numbers are misleading and not what contenders collectors want to see. For instance, stating a card is 50 or less can mean it's actually /50 or maybe its /25...the later of those two numbers makes it MUCH more valuable...Just telling us if they are SP or SSP is not good enough..........

It's just sad to me that 2014 bowman BASEBALL release beats the print number release of a 2013 football product!!

Mychal Rivera variation is an "SSP" which means its /50 or less.....but this just proves this thread even more....wouldnt you LOVE to know if its out of /50 or maybe 35? geez maybe you're lucky enough to have on /25! which of course, makes the card worth exponentially more....

they only released them for the base rookie tickets; and you would've thought the variations would soon follow.

i gave up on waiting.

Nope!! It doesn't matter if they did because they killed this product this year by doing this crap. No one cares about 2013 contenders anymore!! F.U. Panini!!!!!!
