Default Looking for 1989 ProSet stuff

I'm looking for a few things from 89 ProSet

Errors and variation cards
Sealed boxes
Maybe sealed cases
Santa card

Also, the ProSet Errors and Variations binder would be amazing.

Oh, and the 1990 Lombardi card

I have had mixed results finding and buying this stuff on ebay. Boxes are on there, but mosted are overpriced considering the most valuable card in this set is like $6 and I have 10 of them.

I have some of the variations. Let me see if I can dig them out.

Check out fig.I.t.h. On Ebay. He was selling a ton of master sets and errors.

I've got a monster box and a couple sets

Anything in particular you are looking for? I know I have the Stacey Toran with/without death banner

Searched the 7 Gizmos I had and no misspelling/scouting photo/banner

Oh and that errors and var binder would be epic don't blame you there!!!

Thanks for the replies. I have the Stacy Toran card (both). The Ditka stripe variation would be nice. The William Perry, the Bosworth error, etc. That's an idea.

I've got stacks and stacks of commons and could probably put together a few sets. Just looking for the rarer stuff.

Thx

I have the 1989 William Perry SP, but it is staying in the PC. Always wanted one as a kid and finally found one!

What is the error/variation binder? I'm not familiar with whatever that is, but would love to know.

Its probably the single rarest piece of 1989 ProSet goods.

Pro Set Promotional Set W/ Variations, Errors & Samples

Pro Set Football - 5 Years Of Rarities: Pro Set - 1989 Series I and II (The Story Behind The Beginning)

This is THE set that got me hooked on cards. I was into them before this, but I must've bought hundreds of packs of this stuff. And it's worth SOO much now.

I bet I opened one to two thousand packs of 1989 Pro Set (must have been $0.20 - $0.25 cents at the gas station). I also bought probably 10 boxes at Big Lots 7-8 years ago for less than $2 per box. I sorted out all of the Bo Jacksons and the rest went into boxes. I still have all the cards somewhere. I didn't hear of the errors until about a year ago. No way I would have the patience to go through and search for them.

Out of all the errors/variations/etc., are there any that you could NOT pull out of packs? I'm sure the promos were not in packs, but were all the errors available in earlier packs?

I have a letter signed by Lud Denny from the early 1990s when Pro Set donated to a charity function run by my parents. It would make a cool custom cut auto card, if anyone is into that. I should throw it up on eBay just to gauge response.

I have a few boxes that I'd be willing to part with. I'm thinking 4-6 boxes.

Honestly, the best way to know would be to auction it. I'd be interested, depending on condition, around $175-$250

I was wondering the same thing. I never heard of the binder until now and now, I want it.

I have about 4 3000 card boxes full of each of the first few years of Pro Set. I went through them and made a set with some of the errors. I am not sure I know all of the errors so I am holding on to them until I do a complete set for sure. Now I have to look for the binder.

I have a rejection letter from Pro Set because I didn't include enough Pro Set Points when I sent them it.

In case you all were wondering what the binders are they are made of pigskin with the Wilson and nfl logo stamped. It includes the original promo cards and all variations with a types card explaining there error with the incorrect and correct card front and backs. They were supposedly only given out to vP's and executives. Let me know if anyone wants to see pictures of mine
