Default Crossover grading. Experiences?

I know, I know......don't cross the streams...

But have any members here ever risked a protonic reversal and crossed their cards over from one grading service to the other?

I know that the common refrain is: "Don't cross grade your cards, because Company P will want to prove that they are tougher graders than Company B and will give you a lower grade.".......but is this true? I'm looking for testimonials from people who have actually done it.

My reason for asking is that I love graded cards and ultimately want to have my entire PC graded. The way I've decided to break it up is to have all of my 1999 and older cards with PSA and all my 2000 and newer cards with BGS. This means I will need to swap several of my cards and I'd like to know what to expect.

And one more Ghostbusters gif just because it's awesome:

And now no one wants to post their experiences in here because it's gotten all "weird."

Great. :eyeroll:

Something just seems intrinsically wrong with sending a slab of one card that is a PSA/BGS to the other grading company. It's like showing your wife that you bought this sexy neglige for your smoking hot girlfriend and asking her opinion on it. It can't end well.

Crack it out and send it in. Then you don't have to worry about company A grading your card harder then company B.

I actually have 4 cards I cracked out of PSA 10 slabs enroute to BGS. I looked them over VERY critically and don't see why all shouldn't grade out at 9.5 with BGS. I'll try to remember to report back with results.

Nope, you only get one so only the first post counts. But, you could take a poll to see if others agree...

On that another note, I enjoyed jacking in your thread.

I sent 5 PSA 10s to BGS once and they came back 4 9.5s and 1 9.

I've cracked two PSA 10s and sent them to BGS and they came back as 9.5.

I've cracked a PSA 6 card and it came back a BVG 6.
