I'm liking
Golden Tate @ $6,400 (FD)
Andre Williams @ $6,300 (FD)

Not sure what to make of Oliver just yet.

Entered 5 lineups, 1 in the Sunday Million, two in a 5$, 1 10$ and my survivor. Was in the money for all but the 10$ and advanced to next week on the survivor all thanks to Russel Wilson lol....

I wasnt winning anything until this game and Russell having a career game helped out a ton lol I even had both him and Marshawn in one league and ended up in the top 750 taking over 50$.

So all in all, spent 45$ this weekend and I walk away with 162.50$... Best weekend so far.

Does anyone else do really well with either the Sun-Mon or Mon-Thurs games?

I think this was the 3rd week in a row I was bailed out by a last minute entry in a Sun-Mon game. Took 60th out of 802 for $80. Thank you Russell Wilson.

I noticed that in the primetime game I once again scored more points than I did in any of my regular contests. Something about only having 4 teams to choose from actually makes it a lot easier, imo. I guess it narrows down the choices and makes it easier to figure out which "studs" you will play.

I actually have less success with the small pool games. I think it's mostly due to talking myself into boom/bust players because the difference between payouts for an 85th percentile team and 95th percentile team are minimal. I'd rather take chances at a big payday or nothing.

I entered 10 contests this weekend with a total of $165 in entry fees. I ended up only cashing in 3 of them... BUT, they were all $25 entry fees: 2 Triple Ups and a Quintuple Up for a positive weekend $275 in payouts. Although, 6 of my 10 entries were GPP's, which you can see from my philosophy above, isn't exactly working well...

Yeah like I said I think for me it's just easier to choose the "must-have" guys.

Like for this week, imo you had to try and have Giovani, Marshawn, AJ Green, Gronk, and Wilson. I plugged those guys in and then figured out how to deal with the rest of the cap.

Only big performance I missed out on was DJax. If I had him instead of Edelman I would've finished in the Top 5 I'm pretty sure.

I pretty much only do the bigger contests as well, 50/50s and H2H just aren't that appealing to me. It's probably the smart way to grind out money but I don't tryput together an awesome team hoping to simply double my $25 or whatever.

Didn't the Jets have under 50 yards passing last week? I'd avoid all Jets players

Agree with this. Denver has one of the better DEF's in the league, and they're going against a team that has look completely lost on offense the last few weeks. Denver's DEF will likely out score ALL NYJ players combined.

Did great for another week, 7/11 paying contests last week including a 1st place finish out of 80 and a 2nd place finish out of 200.

This week 15 minutes after Monday nights game ended here is what my mind came up with. DK not FD. I don't think I will ever play on FD, I never want to draft a kicker.

QB - Peyton Manning
RB - Andre Ellington
RB - LeSean McCoy
WR - Golden Tate
WR - Demaryius Thomas
WR - Jarius Wright
TE - Greg Olsen
Flex - Bishop Sankey
Defense - Redskins

Notes:

Peyton to Demaryius worked great last week, and I think that continues

Ellington vs the Redskins with Palmer at QB @ home for 5100 should be pretty good. If Logan Thomas starts then he won't be on my team

McCoy has yet to break 100 yards this year but games at home and he's only 6k which is the cheapest he's been all season going against the Giants who suck. I think this is his week for 100 + 1

Tate without Calvin has been money, see no reason that changes this week with Calvin not likely to play again.

Wright @ 200 over minimum IF Teddy is there will be awesome for the price. For that price he only needs like 30 yards to meet expectations. If Teddy is not playing I don't like this as much but I think Teddy is going to play

Greg Olsen against the Bengals who the Patriots just exploited for how they can't cover TE's should work

Sankey is a punt play. Seems like the coaching staff was a week early on predicting his breakout...I hope. I had wanted one of this weeks waiver darling RB's here, but DK already priced them all above 3500. Not excited about this pick but for the price I can live with it

Redskins Defense...I'm sure most of you will think it's just a homer pick, but the truth is they have produced points every week. If Logan Thomas starts I think they have a great week. If Palmer starts they won't

I try to stay away from defensive picks going against players I have on my team. You're rooting for Ellington to do good, but you have the redskins D so if he does good, the D might not score as many and the other way around as well.

This goes into my strategy thinking about how to pick the right players. I have only played this for five weeks so take what I have to say with that in mind.

From what I have gathered regarding Defenses the ones that score the most usually are going against the "bad" offenses who happen to be at home. The problem with week 6 is the only "bad offense" playing on the road this week that I see is the Jaguars, who are playing Tennessee. Brian Hoyer just shredded them for 300 and 3 in Tennessee last weekend

The only other "bad" offense playing on the road I think you can consider is the Redskins. However the Redskins have the NFL's 5th best passing offense in the league and Morris. Bad bad team, but offense is not bad.

The road teams this week are -

Colts
Patriots
Ravens
Steelers
Panthers
Broncos
Lions
Packers
Jaguars
Chargers
Bears
Cowboys
Redskins
Giants
49ers

Which of those is a "bad" offense? This is a crazy week to be doing pick em's too.

The Cardinals with Logan Thomas starting will be one of the worst passing offenses in the league this week I suspect. If Palmer plays they won't be. I am guessing that if Logan is starting again then they will rely heavily on Ellington to get a spark and open the passing game. I don't think Logan will be any good passing the ball so the Redskins defense can score points this week. I also think in this situation you can logically make a decision to play both of them for different reasons and not make an either / or decision.

The Redskins pick as well as the Ellington pick are both completely dependent on Carson Palmer. If he's out, they stay. If he's playing they are both gone. Also the pricing on the Redskins on DK this week is only $2500 which is the lowest this week, the only other teams that cheap are

Vikings @ home against the Lions
Raiders @ home against the Chargers
JETS @ home against the Broncos

Rather go with the sneaky play of the Redskins against a guy making his first NFL career start over those three other bottom feeders. Unless of course Palmer plays and then it's all got to be reworked hahaha

I understand..I wasnt trying to say that you're wrong or anything because often times I have my lineup set up and then I look and I have my RB or WR going against the D I picked so I usually change it.

I don't worry about having my defense going against one of my offensive players.

First, defenses generally don't score much in general so if they fit into my budget with everyone else I want, that's fine with me.

Second, most times when a defense does really well, it's because they got a pick six, fumble return, or special teams TD. Those things won't have anything to do with the guy you start on offense, save maybe losing a point for a fumble or INT.

Look at the Eagles defense the past two weeks. They put up huge games because of special teams and defensive TDs, but that didn't stop Austin Davis or Brian Quick from also having big games at the same time.

I don't even waste money on Mon-Thurs game, with such a limited selection, someone is bound to have the same team unless you do a tournament or the smaller options.

Exactly how I feel.

If you choose 1 wrong player it could cost you being in the money.
