Imagine spending twice that because cases are going for almost double that amount.

Every time someone from this company tries to spew whatever it is they think people will believe, all I can think of:

So, Flawless also contains a card of a 6th round draft pick rookie cut before the season started with the wrong patch. Awesome.

Were the QC issues this bad with Flawless basketball too? Or has no one checked?

Tell me all the autos are fake, then we are gonna have huge problems!!

Just one of the many reason why I stopped buying wax.

Panini has been a disaster since entering the hobby in 09. Group breaks are the only reason they are allowed to make crap sandwiches and keep turning a profit. If this were 2004 the hobby would have already flushed them away with the collectors edge and Action Packed company's of the world.

The secondary market on all of their products is laughable. That is a DIRECT case of collectors not liking their products. I am convinced that group breaks are almost hurting the health of the hobby at this point.

I'd really like to see BO force Panini to open their own account on here to post their product previews and announcements.
BO and every other big retailer is an enabler of Panini. This industry needs to start having the same standard as every other industry. For example if you open a box and are shorted a hit, the retailer who sold it to you should be responsible for fixing it for you.... then they can work it out with the manufacturer. Until retailers have to share in responsibility there's no reason for them to care.

this behavior is incredibly unethical. everyone damn well knows they were trying to pass those patches off as game-worn. it wouldn't surprised me if this was a planned excuse, "if we get got, we'll just claim we labeled them wrong."

honestly though, if you're buying Panini products you should expect this kind of thing. it's who they are.

excellent points.

and unfortunately, Panini is smart enough to know this and they are building their high-end products with group breaks in mind. like you say, it allows them to keep churning out crap and it removes them one more step from the end collector.

I agree that group breaks may be hurting the hobby.

This is just a total farce...so they're saying there's no intent when cards of a certain type or certain players all ended up with wrong labelling...oh but wait it's not wrong labelling as going by the types of jerseys they're probably not event worn either...and going by what the patches themselves some aren't even of the right player...or team !!

Wonder if the other players of the same series of card say "event worn" or are they saying, "no we had enough 'game' worn stuff of everyone else...we just ran short on these guys and used whatever was lying around...sorry we didn't change the wording" Really ????

How can they get it so wrong...really ? And in a flagship $1300 product ?? What a load...

And offering to make it right by giving you more of their suspect product...really ??

Like I said, those affected need to consider getting in touch with the licencing arm of the NFL who have just given Panini that exclusive rights deal. Panini won't listen to the collectors, but I'm sure they'd listen to NFL properties if enough people were to raise a stink with them about this..

And yes, as much as we love the hobby, I do think we all need to consider whether we purchase Panini products if this is what they're capable of...

Now maybe folks will understand the appeal of a simple Topps Chrome FB release. On card autos and no shenanigans.

Topps Chrome Football was king.... always will be king. Even after Panini consumes all of the NFL and ruins it all.

Remember... Topps Chrome is KING!

This is probably the most insightful thing I have ever read on these boards and I wholeheartedly agree 100%. If I buy a TV from Walmart and its missing the remote they don't tell me to call Samsung and complain. I bought it from them, they sold it to me, they take the hit and make Samsung eat it.

Walmart holds more power over the manufactures than a consumer ever could. That's how things are handled on a retail level and should be the same here. If Panini gives Blowout, or any card retailer, gruff about something like this they can withhold part of their next payment to them. Or not reorder something until the matter is resolved. It would take everyone to do the same thing but it should happen.

You get shorted a hit and you never gave Panini your money, that went to blowout, why would they go out of their way to keep you happy? They do just enough to keep you buying cards but never enough to make it up to you.

I must admit I am surprised that they admitted that they made an error.

However, the fact that they managed to make an error like this in the highest end product currently being produced by Panini is unacceptable and does not look good at all for them. Mistakes like this should not happen, let alone in their most expensive product.

I'm still laughing about this. This whole deal is absolutely mind blowing to me.

And to top it all of the monopoly is signed/sealed/delivered and just around the corner.

Is there any way to voice our collective concern about this exclusive NFL license coming up?

Can anything make a difference in that regard? It really may be the end as we know it for the football card market.

So, if I get caught on selling game used jersey with fake COA, I will just defend that I put the wrong label in my COA. And everything is all good.

So, if I get caught on selling trimmed card from uncut sheet, I will just defend that I forgot to put the "cut from uncut sheet" in the selling. And everything is all good.

So, if I get caught on selling a BGS 8.0 after breaking the case and sell it raw, I will just defend that I forgot to put "broke from BGS 8.0" in the auction listing. And everything is all good.

That's how the shady people roll.
