Good riddance. I got a Target coupon for 2 free packs of those last year. I picked up the two packs and now I can't seem to get rid of the damned chipz. I swear I've thrown them out but they keep coming back.

I actually found an OK use for them. I bought some of the Glow versions hoping to use them like putting ball markers for golf, but for use with my friends when we play glow-in-the-dark-disc-golf, which is great fun.

But they just don't glow very much actually.

So instead I use them as spacers in boxes of cards, particularly for cards that might curl if left to their own devices. The Chipz can be used pretty easily to tighten up such boxes that aren't 100% full.

I like variety options. I didn't buy these but being old I remember few choices. I bet I made at least 8 1980 Topps sets that year. I would rather have many choices with less production of each. We don't have to buy everything.

if topps would cancel about 10 products and use those resources to move to only on-card auto, only game used mem, and no redemption policies, they would absolutely destroy the competition.

Curious if anyone knows if they just cancelled the hobby version of this? Have seen it at local targets, and would love to buy a full box if at a discounted price to fill out a sports theme poker chip set.
