Question TV: Weeds.... Comparable to Breaking Bad?

Is this worth watching the entire series? We bought Breaking Bad entire series on DVD, and it wasn't bad at all. Pretty good show. How about Weeds?

Thanks

From what I heard it's right up your alley, Mrs. sportsitup.

If you only thought Breaking Bad was "pretty good" then your standard for TV must be pretty high, haha. The first season or two of Weeds is pretty entertaining, but you have to throw any realism out the door.

There should be a limit on how many threads the OP can make a day. SMH, reported.

Thanks, fellas! Sounds like it's worth the watch. Don't get me wrong, Breaking Bad was awesome! lol but at times it left me shaking my head, especially that episode that revolved around a FLY!

But I caught a episode or two of Weeds, and I liked what I saw...... If every episode is that entertaining, then it should be worth it.

They're comparable in the same way that a 400 pound dude is comparable to a hot, curvy Latina.

Hey... don't mock the 400 pound dudes. They can get those curvy hot females. You know what comes with having some weight, right?

Is this true? Because if it is, then that means that if a heavier set guy who has a really large one, and if he loses weight, it'll get even bigger, and it won't disappear further with the loss of weight?? Is this correct?

Not comparable at all. Breaking Bad was an epic show with incredible writing, top notch acting & brilliant character development. It was a very smart show (which is probably why you thought it was just pretty good and not epic) and Weeds on the other hand, not so much. I couldn't get past the 3rd episode and I really wanted to be able to get into it because I heard so many good things about the show. I just found it pretty corny.

Weeds is more of a straight comedy with some dramatic overtones but Breaking Bad was more of a well written drama with comedic overtones.

I'll need a definite answer, please! Do you know the answer to that for a fact? It could be of great help. I have a friend who is scared to lose weight because he fears he will lose other things in the process... Please LMK so I can pass on the valuable information. Thanks

Good show at first, but it goes down hill after season 3 (I think that's the one), it was never as good as Breaking Bad though.

Like down down, really down hill? Still worth the watch after that at all? Did you continue on, or just jumped ship?

I want to start a great series now that we finished Breaking Bad. My wife really enjoyed Breaking Bad, and said it's one of her favorites. I thought maybe Weeds would be a good one to start.

A GREAT series? Then I wouldn't recommend Weeds.

The Wire

The Shield

Six Feet Under

Mad Men

Justified

Game of Thrones

Hannibal

Banshee

The list goes on and on, and Weeds is pretty far down said list.

I liked Weeds, but it isn't even close to Breaking Bad level.
