That's what I'm saying about Plouffe. I think we would really miss him if we traded him, not only because of his defense, but his bat has been a weapon as well

I could live with Plouffe being traded but, I'd rather Sano get some more experience as a major league 3b. I'm not sold on Sano being having mlb-ready defense yet and Plouffe isn't easily replaceable mid-year if Sano proves to be a liability.

Anyone else looking to get an all star hat signed by Dozier and Perk?

I didn't like the hats this year, so no hat for me. Have been debating getting a Dozier AS jersey signed tho- Had his last year signed, so it'd be my second one and would start a project of getting each of his AS jerseys signed. But, that'd be really expensive, so maybe I'll just stick with some other AS memorabilia that's cheaper and have all our AS reps sign it

I'm kidding, I still think he is too valuable to trade right now, especially since our main/only need is bullpen help

Hahaha, no I do not. I do, however, have a pretty nice cardboard storage box for his cards

As I said, not the right piece. Would be a significant downgrade if we traded Plouffe for a reliever. I'm looking at someone like Nunez or Robinson instead

No one wants them. In my opinion, it's not a downgrade trading Plouffe to fix a significant glaring hole in our pen, esp with Sano proving he can hold his own.

Wouldn't be a straight up trade, but could get a reliever and another or a solid bench guy.

Sano can hold his own in the lineup as a DH. We have seen 1 game where he has played in the field. I'd rather us not risk our defense at 3B for relievers at this point. Sano is a question mark as a defender.

But why would we want to trade the player with the 2nd most RBIs on our team (trailing leader Dozier by 1), 2nd leading run scorer? We're 7th in the AL in runs scored, it's not like we're putting up a ton of runs. I'm not denying that we need bullpen help, but trading Plouffe, IMO, would do more harm than help

Like I've said before, I truly think we are showcasing Plouffe to trade, that's why Sano has been DH'ing. I have nothing against hm, he's very nice and I have about 300 rookies to move .

There are plenty of worse fielders in MLB starting daily, I'll take is offense over Plouffe's offense/defense 10 out of 10 times.

I think you are severely underestimating how good Plouffe has been for us
