Default "wsportscards" ebay buyer to block and avoid!!!

buyer is trash and leaves inaccurate and unfair feedback.
id suggest that you block him, and avoid selling to him/her.
an absolute waste of time and effort.

I give him a deal on BIN, however I am in the process of moving so my shipping will be delayed 10 days. he desires a refund, so I send back payment. he leaves negative "buyer beware"

I hate to be "that guy", but if you have a 10 day shipping delay, why are you selling on eBay right now? I would pull all my auctions and wait until you are moved.

Did you make him aware of the 10 day shipping delay before or after you sold him the card? If it was before, then I can understand your frustration. If it was after, then you kinda deserved to get ripped on.

Sorry.

2012 Topps Chrome 1957 Refractor Auto Justin Blackmon RC Jaguars BGS 9 5 10 | eBay

Your listing shows a delivery time of 7 business days for the card with a 2 day handling time. If you knew it would be longer than this your listing should have stated as much.

You can put your ebay account in "vacation mode" to notify all potential bidders and buyers that there will be a delay in shipping. This is done without having to edit all of your listings.

He has a valid complaint to find out something like this after he made a purchase with a short handling time stated in the listing. Would I leave a neg for that? Of course not, but to each his own.

You could just use the "I'm away for this amount of time" option.

You can only do this is you are subscribed to a ebay store account I believe.

Why are you selling if you cannot keep the delivery time you state in your listing? Sorry if I bought something that has a 2 day handling time and you told me it would be 10 then I would feel the same as the buyer. Would not neg you, but would leave a 1 for delievery time which is the same as a neg on Ebay.

On a related topic, I think I may have been placed on some kind of black list by an entitled seller like this one. I have a long history on ebay and have only given two negative feedbacks. The recent one was after a seller lied about shipping the cards on two separate occasions. It took a month to receive them, and when I did the postmark was for three days prior. I questioned the seller about this and he became an abusive jerk. It ticked me off so I gave a negative. A few days ago I tried to bid on an auction from a different seller and received a message that I was blocked from bidding on this seller's items.

So, now I know how that happens. That seller must have put my name out there like the OP has done.

Either that or you are not meeting the seller requirments somehow.

I hope that is the case. I messaged the seller to ask about it. I've been on eBay for 15 years and have 664 feedback. I can't imagine requiring more than that.

To be clear to all interested parties:

I moved this last weekend (which happens to be the same time he purchased).
My cards wouldn't fit into my car, so they went in storage until next week.
They are at my father in laws home (5 hours away).
I updated the buyer about this 2 days after payment\selling card.
(clearly ebay items I have listed are not my #1 thought during a pack n move from state to state)

So I offered to immediately refund, or if he was willing to wait, I would throw in some other JB cards including a relatively rare RC /25, and some base stuff...and ship next week Tuesday.

I have 1000+ feedback with 100% and he decides to ask for the refund rather than wait and then bombs me with negative. Absolute toolbag. I will figure out HOW to block him. and I suggest you do to. (for someone that is so impatient and discourteous)

this is helpful regarding the vacation mode. gonna have to look into that for the time being but it is still absurd to me that people are just jerks to strangers for no reason. it was a minimal item, I was upfront and offered solutions...and he negged me.

I think it's a little overly sensitive of him to leave a negative, but I can understand why he would do it. At the same time I think you opened yourself up to problems such as this by not being upfront with the delay in shipping. Lesson learned I suppose.

All I hear are excuses and drama. Not to be a jerk, but the buyer doesn't care when you moved, what did or did not fit in your car, or if the cards were stored with a relative. And if the buyer doesn't care, nobody here will either.

You screwed up. Learn from it and move on. Did you deserve a negative? Probably not, but you can't change that now.

Consider the negative tuition payment for a class on vacation mode.

I think everyone here has a valid point. I understand that the Op was in the middle of moving but the buyer doesn't care about that.
Let me put it this way and I think everyone has been in this position in their life before.

Think about the last time you were at a restaurant and you ordered your food and it has been awhile since you put in your order, you see other people getting their food before you, you stop and ask your server where is your order and they tell you that it's coming or that the kitchen is back up. Now let's say that it's been 30-45 mins after you out your order in and I can assume and I have been there and I have been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years, you are mad because your food still didn't arrive. You don't care what the excuse is expect that where is my food and why is it taking so long!
The point I am trying to say is that the buyer doesn't care if your moving or not all they care about is that they paid for something and it has been 10 days.
To me if the seller keeps In contact with me and doesn't make me feel like he doesn't care or forgot about what I paid for then I would give them the extra night. time they need.
Communication is the most important thing for me.
A couple of months ago I went on vacation and I had a ton of stuff listed on the bay. My thought that I could put all my listings on vacation mode as I have seen this before on other peoples listings. Come to find out I have to have a eBay store to do that.
I knew I was going to be gone for 9 days and didn't want to ruin my feedback knowing that couldn't ship until I came back.
So I have I ended everyone of my auctions so that I would not have to worry about someone buying a card from me and me having to message then saying that I was on vacation and wouldn't be able to ship until I came back.
I think the op has to understand that some people are understanding and some people are not. I don't think a negative is warranted because in the end the buyer did get the card. Just like the restaurant in the end you got your food but did you give your server the proper tip even though they didn't mess up and it was the kitchens fault?

I can see both parties sides here, but we as American have become so impatient about wanting everything right now, another big reason why americans have so much debt. buy, buy, buy, now, now, now. I bought a card from a person here on BO not to long ago. seller told me he was out of the country for 2 weeks. I paid him and waited , guess what I survived the wait time and got what I wanted.
Hell I just had another seller take forever to ship an item and when he did, he didn't provide a tracking number just said it shipped, so I waited patiently figured I would give him 2 weeks and then it showed up. Like the old saying "patience is a virtue".

Appreciate the responses, (whether you agree with me or not)
Everyone will feel differently.
I too feel communication is the most important thing in any transaction.
Delays and life happen.

In the end, I learned my lesson.
1.) The buyer will be blocked from all future business,
2.) ebay will be contacted to get the feedback removed,
3.) there is a bunch of rotten people out there who are impatient, and coldhearted
4.) end my auctions if im going to be out of town
