Recap from today, August 21st, 2015

Being a Twins fan in Maryland means they are very rarely in town. Thankfully they were in town this weekend before I head back to college on Sunday. My tickets were on the lower level on the 3rd base dugout side. Should have taken some pictures but I didn't.

So me and my family got there around 6:00. I wanted to get there for batting practice around 5 when the gates open but it didn't work out due to my work schedule. Around 6:30 some players start to come out and get some stretching in. Torii Hunter, being the class act that he is signs all the way down the third base line. I had a few cards of him but decided he should sign my hat

I didn't have the best marker but I like how it turned out. I didn't have an autographed hat in my collection yet so it was nice to add that. Ryan O'Rourke was signing as well but I wasn't able to get him. He stayed close to the dugout, and I believe his family was in town. Right before the game started Buxton came trotting over. He signed a woman's ball who was right next to me and then went to the dugout. So close!!!

I went back to my seat and watched the game. I got the Chesapeake waffle fries which were waffle fries and crab dip. Perks of Maryland living! In the 3rd inning, Mauer lines a foul ball right at us. It bounces off my brothers hand and next to a lady across the aisle who gives it to her kid. It was unfortunate being a Twins fan and just missing a Mauer foul ball. But it happens. I wish the kid was a Twins fan who got the ball!

Thankfully the Twins rallied to win the game. Jepsen looked filthy. Couldn't touch him. After the game I went to the rail to see if I could get anyone else. Most guys headed back to the locker room but Miguel Sano stayed around. I was able to get his attention and was able to get this signed

Being able to add both a signed ticket stub and a signed hat to my collection and to watch the Twins win made it a great night!

Twins acquired reliever Neal Cotts today from the Brewers for a PTBNL. If he can return to his 2013 form, this is a phenomenal grab. Not really sure what to think about it besides he is a lefty and it could benefit having another lefty out of the pen

Seriously Molitor?? Pelfrey was struggling the last few innings and has gotten lucky. He just got lucky again because a ground rule double made Jones stop at 3rd. So you go out, talk to him, and let him try to finish the inning?
The guy had no business getting that option, and then he gives up a 2 run single the next pitch...and then you take him out. It seems he always tries giving his pitchers the 5 innings, even when they shouldn't be out there.
