Cliff Notes for anyone wanting to bypass all the crap.

OP ghoulishly lists a card of a guy who dies last. Lists the price at almost 3X what others can be purchased for currently on Ebay.

People bash him

OP brags about job and education and belittles others. Has not talked about his wealth or smoking hot wife or gf yet.

Said something about people on here having dead end jobs and three baby mamas

I'm guessing that is what is being referred too.

Little fun fact where yogi grew has great Italian food.

Sounds like you could've made a case for yourself without portraying your obvious disdain for the people on the board, but you went out of your way to do just that.

Insulting potential customers is the way to go, I guess?

When did he say how wealthy he was?

How do you know what kind of house he lives in?

Of course he is wealthy, he sells cards for three times what they are worth

Outside of the ridiculous price he has started this card at (I know will accept BO) why exactly are people making such a big deal out of this?

There are hundreds of new listings on Ebay for Yogi Auto's and if you check there have been hundreds purchased, it appears some people are honoring his passing by adding his Auto to their PC.

If someone chooses to list an Auto card today how is that challenging their 'moral compass', I'm sure the majority didn't know Mr. Berra personally and they are merely selling their property to folks who obviously want it!

Personally I choose to hold on to my Berra Auto's and memorabilia but have no problem with those that choose to move theirs, it's their property and they can do whatever they choose to do, if the OP is overcharging for his auction it's pretty simple don't buy it!!!

I suppose as a a fan of Yogi, I am personally taken aback at the concept of a person 'profiting' from his death by charging significant more than the current 'going' rate. It's not really about a moral compass.

I have no issues with any members of this board.

I did not start off ranting about having a college education and bad mouthing other members, only when I was questioned was when I bought up the points of contention.

I was called a greaseball, D-bag of the year, and a punk?

All for selling a card at the wrong time for an inflated price?

I work at a grocery store, why the cheap shot at people who work at grocery stores? What do you have against that?

I believe it was the way you reacted when questioned about it as much as your timing/price. I mean, comments like these … really? You make it sound like that's what everyone on this forum does.

"a dead end job, and a baby's momma with 3 kids."

"work a few hours a day jockeying the register at your local food mart"

These comments were made in reference to the fact that I added I could ship today given the fact I have a busy work schedule, it was not a reference to my "wealth", but rather the fact that I am only off work 1 of 7 days.

Certain positions at grocery stores pay well, given I could have used any job position, for instance I worked in a restaurant for 9 years, I could said waiter.

In none of my responses did I mention my wealth status or that I had a better job than anyone on these boards.

If anyone was offended by any generalizations I apologize for that.

Foraure the price is way too high.
But I find it funny how people get rippe for losing cards right after someone does. The market is really got at that moment. I'd sell all day.
I did that when Gwynn died and people whined about that also. I'm all for making a buck in this hobby , my only suggestion would have been check some comps on eBay and have a reasonable listing price.

I'm a waiter. Why you taking a shot at my profession?

I'm not really a waiter but I thought I'd add it.

Exactly what this guy said (assuming got meant hot).

The demand is high. Someone has to meet that demand.

I find it comical someone said you have to wait at least 24 hrs before you can sell.
Please chalk that one up as Blowout unwritten rule #92!

So now it's ironic that you happened to be selling a Yogi Berra auto hours after his death? And let me guess, it's ironic that your selling it for at an inflated price too?! You should be ashamed with what you're doing just for money.
