That's crazy! I'll only sell a little over 6k on COMC this year! I'm mostly baseball and I see you have a bunch of Marvel, Hockey and different stuff, pretty low inventory too. How many cards did you sell? Was it stuff you flipped? Submitted? Did you make $ or just liquidating?

Question from a newb. Do you find it's worth it to send in cards you'd price at .75? I figure no storage fee and being able to turn cards I don't want into credit may be worth it, but I see a lot of cards listed under .75. Is that people just losing money to get rid of inventory?

Several things here.
1. It cost .50 for processing for you up front and .25 for handling fees for the buyer. So is the card worth the .75 plus what you want out of it??? If you want to get .25 minus the 5% and the buyer is willing to pay $1 for it. Yes the .25 can add up if they sell.
2. Lot of the cheaper cards listed were sent in before the increase in processing fees or purchased through flipping or post sales. So the sellers may not have that much into them. So they can make money at the .75 or less.
3. Yes some sellers do take loses on some of their cards. Business 101 move inventory even at a loss and use that money where you can make more money.

Is the bulk pricing editor still a thing? If it is, is it still stuck on only 32-bit versions of Windows? I'd like to adjust all my pricing for everything that didn't sell at my massive Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales but going one by one is quite the pain

Kevin Burge associate Steven Tormollan is now listing fake and altered cards on COMC.

Read more about Steven Tormollan here: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1295981

FAKE Baker Mayfield auto. He just put a forged autograph sticker on a base card.

FAKE Todd Helton patch.

BACKDOORED Eddie Jones and Peyton Manning Flair Legacy.

Four of his first nine cards for sale are fake, altered, or backdoored, so we are off to a great start!

Good rule of thumb is to start with cards that regularly sell for $2.50 each. For cards you want to price at 75 cents, just buy them on COMC for 20 cents, because it's cheaper than sending more in.

Definitely no.

As already said, start with cards that will sell for around $2 or more on COMC.

It really is not worth sending in anything worth less than $1. And even at that level - you might end up losing money once the card finally sells if prices come down.

There are many people that send in cards without doing any research on current prices. And, yes those submitters are losing money - some appear to be losing thousands of dollars in submission fees based on their inventory.

Cards that sell for $2. Ive sometimes made the mistake of sending cards listed for more than $2 but they are only listed at that price and dont sell.

After reading all the replies, a couple of things come to mind.
1. Are you trying to become a reseller or just getting rid of extra cards you may have?
2. Do you want to max. the amount of money or just hoping to get a little?
3. Are you going to use the credit to buy stuff or cash out?
4. How long are you willing to wait to sell a card?

All these things come into play if you want to go the COMC way.

They have made it clear they really do not want to be a low-end seller (Sportlots). If you really research how they started and where they are today you can see it clearly.

In general, not really. You're paying the 50 cents upon listing whether is sells the first day or the following year. That can be a lot of dead money if a person isn't careful. I sold a lot of cards well below list cost last week just to get rid of the stuff. That said, if you believe the card is likely to sell quickly (serial numbered refractors of semi-stars come to mind), then fire away while keeping in mind anything priced over 75 cents is subject to a penny per month storage fee. Those begin to add up when you have a few thousand in the port.

Another thing to keep in mind is looking up comps can be time consuming. As such, I just follow my gut when I send stuff in. I might send in 400 cards at a time and I'm fine if 10% of them result in a loss since I pick up the stuff very cheap to begin with. I'm not going to spend time comping everything when that time is better spent looking for more cards or just cleaning my house.

Well here is a pleasant discovery that may be of use to some of you - I clicked on the little bar graph icon (Sales History) just to see what would happen. I didn’t expect anything would because I have never purchased History Points nor tried any Challenges.

But there they were - a whole lot of points.

I have 2 guesses on where they came from.

a) I do send in error reports whenever I see one

b) I bought some Store Credit to use

Do either of those create some History Points to use?

Default All I want to do is talk about COMC

I sold a card at ebay auction with comc that ended a couple days ago….sold for 70 some dollars.

I can’t find it anywhere now…it’s not under Auction History. It’s not under sales, it’s not in my inventory, and I didn’t get paid for it. Is this normal? I don’t do a ton of ebay auctions through comc, so not sure what I should be expecting here.

https://www.comc.com/Points

Buy Store Credit

1 History Point for every $1 purchased
Note: These History Points expire after 30 days.

Usually there's a history with your list of auctions and price sold.

That’s what I thought too, the tab on the dashboard that says “Auction History” under seller’s menu. It has all my other auctions listed but not this one.

Nvm scratch that. D’oh.

It was a 1/1 sketch card which I owned. So when I saw it browsing ebay a couple days ago, just figured it was one of my comc auctions running. Turns out someone else bought the sketch from me on comc back in late Nov, and so the auction must have been theirs.

I blame Black Friday craziness and everything kind of running together and losing track lol. So a non issue here.

Has anyone that cashed out COMC credit to PayPal in the past, not receive their deposit? I had 3 deposits I was waiting for from COMC. One from November 19th, December 3rd, and December 5th. Last night I received my payment from December 3rd and I’m getting worried now about my withdrawal from November 19th. I sent customer service an email 3 days ago with no reply. Any suggestions?

I would keep at it with customer service. They notoriously take a long time to reply. If no response after like 3 days, Id send another email. Rinse and repeat and you should finally get a response I think.
