first edition talk getting old, the real thing should be coming out 3 weeks from tomorrow. getting so excited!

I'm sure it'll make the rounds on Blowout soon but someone on Twitter received their 50 pack 1st edition order. Packing slip said 50 pack box...they received 1 24 pack box. Oh my Topps...

The "50-pack boxes" are starting to arrive. The one I saw is uh...not great news, but I'll wait for a few more to pop up.

Someone actually go the 50 pack or was it the mess up of getting a 24 pack box? If true 50 ack box is it same old terrible collation or much worse?

That said, why has nothing more about actual Bowman Draft been talked about? Seems crazy to not know more of the actual checklist and seems to have already been pushed back a few times. Might as well just push it back until next year.

Wasn't Draft supposed to release today or did it get pushed back.

Lack of 1st Edition singles and any information in general is a huge debbie downer.

After reading a little more it may just be that one-off mistake. It seems like many others are saying they're still processing.

Pushed back to the 29th, officially. I reckon it may get pushed a few days further -- my guess is relying on 18-22 year olds to return signed cards around the holidays isn't an entirely reliable endeavor.

Even with the delay, they absolutely have to be in that stage. I would guess the delays (Panini has been the same) are due to supplies and/or employee shortages...I would assume with 100% certainty the product is done. Those who are redemptions will be redemptions.

My bad. I did say holidays, which means Christmas/New Year. I meant the season from just before Thanksgiving through Christmas.

I agree that they're likely in final stages of packing at this point.

Yeah I’m worried with all the shipping issues around Christmas.. maybe that is why they moved it to the 29th.. shipping might be a little calmer the week after Christmas

Another intriguing aspect is that I know some hobby shops close between christmas and new years, including blowout, so release day will be interesting in that regard.

While a different sport, Contenders football has dropped in years past between the two holidays...so a highly sought after release hitting in that window is not without precedent.

We can still suppose that, yes. They're all still processing though, as best I can tell. We're getting to the point of the purpose of 1st edition being defeated.

Should have saved my stupid bid I did for Wes Kath and used it for regular Bowman Draft instead. Now I can't wait to see who outbids me with some stupid bids for low picks like Sean Burke and Brook Gosswein.

Can someone please explain the first edition Auto numbering/etc? I pulled a Cody Morrissette /99 green auto in a 1st edition break.

It doesn’t seem that there are enough packs produced to make that many autos for all 14 players if /99, /499 etc holds true

They use a very small amount and a very limited number of guys from regular Bowman Draft and stamp them with the 1st edition gold stamp. So basically there are about 15 players they select and take like 3 or 4 autos that would go into the regular release and put them into this product.

Topps just pushed an email to the 1st Edition 50-pack box purchasers, saying that their shipment is delayed (duh). There was no anticipatory timeline for shipment mentioned in that email.

DFB called Topps' CS and was told that the 50-pack 1st Edition Box would release before the main release.
