Still possible to get 9.5's from 80's and early 90's, but they won't give you a 10. I got a ton of 9's and 9.5's, a total of 40 combined. However, not one 10 from that era. I am content with these since they are for my PC, but I have a few cards in CSG 9, 9.5 slabs from the 80's and 90's that should be Gem Mint IMO.

My issue with CSG is they are extremely tight with their 10's, but they loosen up below that. In my opinion, they get really loose with grades under 8. Especially vintage.

Speaking of junk wax……I was going to do an 1986-2021 Eagles display with the old green labels before CSG changed them. I had gotten most of the cards from sportslots and COMC and decided to do it anyway with the new labels at the $12 price point. Tried to get the most important Eagles (IMO only) one per year - I’m very pleased with how it turned out. I also had some other cards graded as well. I was expecting a 5 on the Lemieux but it is a very very off centered card. Overall, I only had 3 cards that I really missed the mark on. Hopefully they will go back down to $12 again. Here are the highlights:

Thanks! I didn’t really think about that, but I guess I do have a few Top Pop cards now. If I ever sell any of them on eBay, the item description will look something like this:

MUST SEE! Freddie Mitchell #75 Upper Deck PIECE OF HISTORY. Eagles 4th and 26! POP 1. Say Whaaaaaaaat? NONE GRADED HIGHER. $300 obo.

Has CSG ever offered on-site grading at any card shows?

They did at the National: https://www.csgcards.com/news/articl...l-onsite-fees/

No idea if they had done any shows before that, but the more recent ones have just been on-site submissions.

I think they will be at Allen show in either September or November.

My advice right now with CSG and cards prior to 1980 is what I have been saying for a while now, they are BVG. I would be confident in any card graded from 1980's to current, but they are treating vintage differently. I saw this last year and I am seeing this with all of the reveals. If you are buying CSG vintage slabs, I would subtract 1 from the grade. They seem to grade cards 1 through 5 about the same as PSA/SGC, but once vintage start grading as a 7 to 8, I would be very skeptical. This video below at the end is very bad for CSG. They had two BVG 7's that crossed to CSG 7.5. It seems like these cards were crossed in holders as well.

I made a submission form on July 3rd for bulk at the $12 price before the $15 price point was in place. Haven't sent it yet and just called CSG. I told them I haven't send my order out but want to ship express so it will be received before the Sept 6th cutoff to get the $12 bulk honored still. Well the very cocky customer service rep said "Where did you hear that? No if you send in anything now it will be $15" I countered that is showed it in their news blog when they announced the new $15 bulk in effect July 5th. That is stated and submissions completed with the $12 rate would be accepted before Sept 6th , his response "Well send them in if you think that is what you'll get, that is not happening though. Is there anything else I can help you with?" Really made me feel like I don't even want to send in to them now as price may not be honored and if that's how customer service is why give my business. Plus ROI currently is half of PSA in a lot of cases. I have very carefully picked bulk of 65 cards that are worth sending from the 80's, 90's early 00's not junk wax but actually valuable cards. Has anyone sent in a sub they did for $12 this month an they honored your rate still? Thank you

Yes, mine was received on the 9th and was honored at the old price. I don't think you will have any issues with getting them to honor the price.

Thank you very much. Did you get yours back already? I'm not sure if I'm gonna try as I'm going over my form and now at least 20 cards sell for the same amount raw as an 8 and just a little more with a 9. Would be paying out $240 in grading to break even on those possibly now. Wow the values f graded have dropped in the last 2 months. I think that CSG will have to go back to $12 or run a special for the holidays season to keep up when PSA has another lower tier. Not an advocate for either one but have had these cards so many years do want to get the best value when it comes time to sell.

Not yet. They are still in Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging, I think it should be done by the end of the month. I really like CSG slabs for my Kershaw PC so ROI is not a major concern for me. I do agree that graded cards have loss a lot of value in the last few months. Would be nice to get $12 pricing again ($10.80 with elite discount), at that price it would make sense for me to send in blue chrome refractors numbered to /75 cards rather than just gold chrome refractors numbered to /50 right now

For pc most def since they are the most beautiful slabs and high quality. Problem is if selling and getting out of the hobby where roi is harder to swallow in the current market. Like a Jordan Power in the Key sells for half of a psa 8 in the same grade. A Jeter 93 SP CSG 8 sold for a little over $200 when a PSA 8 goes around 4-$500 consistently. I just checked some Tony Hawk rc's and I would make more selling ungraded with a buy it now over paying for grading even with a PSA 9 that recently only sold in the $35 range. Those were several hundreds in the boom , craze period of early 2021.

Been doing great with the CSG/PWCC program.

Fast turnaround, so cards don’t take a dump after 2 months turnaround.

Do your own calculations

Has anyone sent a submission to CSG and left a few cards off that were on the form because you changed your mind? Do they charge for the ones you didn't include?

No, I've never done that. Why not just edit the form before sending it?

I don't think they'll charge you for the missing cards, but it might delay your order while they try to sort out where the cards went.

One issue I've seen is that once you've put the submission form in your cart, you can't go back and edit it. So after you've hit the point of no return you technically need to send all the cards on your list or create another submission and input all the cards again.

But...

I have made an error or two on my submission forms and they have called me both times to discuss the error to make sure they get it right. I'm sure it delayed the turnaround time a bit so it's your call to chance that vs inputting a new submission form.

I think he was hoping to use the old submission form that had the old price. But he might run into the problem where it would be less than 50 cards depending on how many cards he had originally

Not a huge feat at this stage of CSG or CGC .

Have more than a few POP 1’and few top registry sets with PSA and CGC That I don’t not make public , YET.

If you cannot handle the truth . Block me . I win.
Just because your opinions are not the same as mine does not make what you say right.

You got it. I didn't want to get penalized for leaving a few cards out. I have 65 in Bulk.

Yeah it's a shame can't go back and edit or change decision on shipping before you actually send the form out with the cards.
