Just so we understand what teams other than NYY and LAD aren’t a “hobby dump” when u aren’t homegrown there?
Boston? Chicago? STL? ATL?Seattle?meh

I understand we all want him in a smaller park for more homers I really do but c’Mon now..

home grown certainly matters less, especially as time goes by. Very few of sports GOATS played for one franchise.

San Diego's greatest player (Tony Gwynn) is (sadly) hobby irrelevant. im not saying that's fair, but it is what it is

i would like to see him back on the east coast so that more people can enjoy him

I do contend though that the path to long term “Hobby Good” is far easier when a guys rookie and or prospect stuff is on his current team. Team based PCs lock up a fair amount of important early rarities which only helps to shrink supply and result in small premiums for the good stuff.

Selfishly I dig having him out here for the late night juice on an otherwise boring mid week work night.

I am too old for West Coast games....same challenge I have with watching Sho. I get to see a lot of highlights.
