I joined a break for this yesterday. Pretty uneventful. I had Red Sox and got some base and prism refractor but no sonic cards. But it was cheaper then Series 1 breaks. Person on break bought Yankees and Cardinals and ended with $450 worth of MVP buy back. The breaker said that every case he's opened was full of Judge and Goldschmidt so apparently Topps is loading cases with those cards based on this guy's experience

Wander is 21. He's played the equivalent of one season so far and hit .282 13 hr 72 rbi. His only problem has been injuries.

Adell has nothing on Wander. Adell’s top public sale is $15.6k. The guy has only had 8 public sales over $5k. Adell is a hobby bust already, but his impact is negligible for the bag holders.

There's still actual hope for Hobby Wander. Hobby Adell has been gone for nearly 2 years. There's no bounce back for Adell.

I would say as big a problem as injury has been how bad he has been from the left side where he takes 3/4 of his AB’s. Career .718 OPS from the left side, .926 from the right.

Which is weird because pre-2020 Wander had far better splits in the minors from the left side, then something happened in the 2020 cancelled minor league season and he came back stronger from the right side. I’m guessing the Rays changed something in his swing.

Of course I can't think of any of the top of my head but I remember other switch hitters who have had spits flip every few seasons. Like they were great left handed and bad right handed and then a couple of seasons later they were great right handed and bad left handed. As someone who switch hit through high school I can say it's hard to duplicate your swing. So most guys are working with different swing mechanics from each side which is twice as much work. Not to mention you get a lot more at bats vs right handed pitching.

But lots of guys in MLB have given up on switch hitting since it becomes much harder in the MLB. He hasn't been terrible left handed so I doubt they are talking about giving it up yet but if he really struggles they will probably ask him to try sticking to one side.

I think the expose are really undervalued with how hard they are to pull. Beauty of a card. Realized this is not expose, but still undervalued imo lol

Opened a case yesterday. Could have been better, could have been worse. A few things of note:

Don't go in thinking you are going to score tons of Judge and Goldschmidt. Obviously, it's all luck, but I got 5 Goldschmidt and only 2 Judge in the whole case! Only base as well....no raywave, prism, refractor, sonic, etc.

You don't get a Sonic parallel in each box. A couple of mine had zero and a couple had 2.

I would have gotten killed even at $60 a box if it wasn't for the Abrams SSP Orange #/25. Last box magic.
