I think for me my hesitation is spending big bucks of my own money to buy these things. I think for most in here, yall are all working on yalls original investments. Not sure how much real money yall have tied into this. Me I just have my original $15 Because I wanted to try a pack. I wouldn't mind buying and flipping these with profit, but as much as I'd want like a Giannis, I'm not comfortable with spending $500 on one, because that's $500 I won't see for who knows when

i did put money and was able to buy 1 cool cat pack and did some noob moves

- sell everything at lowest price except for tatum moments (was at $10 when i started)
-was happy to sell a cool cat randle for 95 (happy cause $14 cash became 100+ dapper balance

Well I've officially diversified way down for the most part outside of the LeBron S2 Dunk that I probably won't ever sell and some rare S1 stuff that is tougher to move. At this point the steam on this isn't stopping anytime soon and the growth is still for the most part in what will be seen as obtainable moments of stars/semi-stars. Just have to fade a pack drop now.

Do you own them because you actually enjoy the product? Or do you own it because you believe you can make some money off of it? Not trying to hate or expose or anything, I just still really struggle to see how people enjoy topshot like they do cards.

I think all of it is fascinating. I like the fact I don't have to store cards in my house as collectibles. I don't have to deal with shipping and grading. I don't have to deal with ebay scammers. Having a built in marketplace is nice. I treat this as I do with collectibles, collect what I like but also if I can profit from the same hobby, then that could be my vehicle to obtain nicer cards/moments. Or if needed cash out and have funds available. (That last part is currently under verification.)

So there are two verification process that people on here are talking about. The instant one is when you are purchasing and selling in the marketplace. Which conveniently for them is almost instant. But when YOU want to withdraw from THEM it is a much lengthier process. Supposedly this is on your initial withdrawal. We will see.

For me, a bit of both, probably more because of the money.

What I will say and what I've noticed now that I'm in it is that it depends on what you consider the "product." If you're talking about the actual moment gif itself, eh I don't really care. But if you're talking about the product as the experience (ease of buying and selling, pack drops, lots of social content around it) - then yes, I'm very much enjoying the product.

I guess my point is, while I still enjoy physical cards WAY more than the gif itself, I am enjoying the experience of TS more than physical right now. So sick of low ball offers on ebay, shipping, returns, selling raw is a nightmare now, waiting months for grading. And I think that is the point - the experience of physical cards just isn't very fun right now. This experience is, at least for me. I'm shocked at how much time I'm spending on this thread, discord, and inside the platform.

I'm enjoying TS too. Some of the clips are really cool and it's like stock trading except I actually know something about it where I don't do well investing in the stock market. I am starting to wonder though if I should start to sell of some stuff. My potential profit has doubled in the past 12 hrs. If anything I can hold that balance until I can withdraw or I can hopefully buy some packs.

$1 on Top Shot is worth $0.90 in real value right now IMO. There is a 5% fee to sell, so you can get a bit of a discount.

Right now my original $14 pack turned into $3000 in a week. If Wiseman comes back and puts up a few games that card could go insane. Wiseman IMO will be close to Anthony Davis than some of his other comparisons. Averaging 12 pts, 6 rbs, 1 block from basically coming from high school is impressive. Plus he has a good three pointer. Got mine for $1100 and I see that jumping high. Besides LaMelo I don't think there are any possible superstars besides Wiseman. Edwards is scoring 14 points on 14 FG attempts per game, that is concerning. He was very similar in college.

That's fodder for: "in the meantime keep buying and selling in the marketplace while we collect 5% fees on each transaction."

Not that I'm an insider by any sort, but I've worked in the space a bit - Wiseman is NOT going to be AD. And that's totally ok. Two totally different personalities and people. That said, he has so much talent it may not matter.
