Noticed the 2000 Aurora printing plate on eBay. Any other rookie plates been seen/sold?

The back plate of a Pacific sold about a week ago. Looks like someone bought up a bunch of the plates when Pacific auctioned off everything. Good for him being able to cash in on the Brady's -- not much else really in there...

Surprised there weren't really any blue chip listings added last night (to end right after the SB). Guess everyone is holding until after...?

Kids, we're about to surpass the 100k view mark! Although it'll be a few more months until it passes the weirdness of the Donald Driver retirement thread.

Probstein just listed a really clean BGS 9 Championship Ticket. Only half a million bucks!

Spoke too soon!

Looks like there is a pretty significant surface rub bottom left over the stamp...? Follows the contours of the stamp itself, so can't just be on the case.

Spoke to a buddy who says he knows several interested parties who have just been waiting for a 9 to finally surface. He thinks the card sells in a week. Should be interesting.

This makes me sick. I owned that card. Bought it for $6,000 and sold it for $9,000 a week later. Must've been about 4 years ago. Part of why I sold it was because I didn't like the certified stamp...as you can see on the left side of the stamp there is some white showing. It kind of bothered me. It doesn't bother me so much now...

If it makes you feel better the surface rubbing bothers me a lot! Not sure how that warrants a 9 surface grade...! Nice corners and edges, though. Definitely no slouch.

Ouch! I was wondering if that was on card, surprised it got a 9 on surface.

I really hate auctions like this where they're not really interested in selling and just phishing for interest. It's a waste of everyone's time, holds up the real market movement on this card, and doesn't do anything other than make the hobby look like a joke. If you're really interested in selling, then put it up bid with a low bin and let it stand on it's own. I'm surprised they didn't try to one up the other joke auction by posting a $1,212,121,212.12 BUY-IT-NOW.

Yeah, it is definitely on the card. I couldn't believe it got a 9 for surface and was wondering if maybe something happened after it was slabbed or something. But still. $9,000.

Might have rubbed off while still in the holder. A little bit of condensation would cause a bit of stickiness like that. Either way, it's no longer a 9 now even it it was at one time.

Yea, and 9 K was a lot at the time.

Yeah, yours is better for sure. There are only 2 BGS 9's with these subgrades - yours and this one. They are the highest 2 graded and only ones with all 9 or better subs. Yours doesn't have the surface flaw, which is why I believe you have the best single copy in existence. If I were you, I would copy and save that picture so that when you go to sell yours in 5 years for $300,000 (or more) you can prove that yours is better.

That is not the case here. Seller is ready to sell - just about getting the right offer for it. We will see if that happens or not.
