Yeah, I don't think a playoff loss will humble them at all. They might even get more "optimistic" lol

OKC should be favored, but if it's OKC vs. the field, I'm taking the field....there are too many other strong teams in the West.

JJ Redick has the Lakers playing really well, the Nuggets are still the Nuggets, and the Warriors have Steph, playoff Jimmy, and Dray.

They would all likely be underdogs against the Thunder, but they'd all still have a 30-40% chance of winning a 7-game series against OKC.
Playoff Jimmy is back!!!

I just rewatched the ending of the Pacers - Mavs game. Third game in a row that Indy had a 90 percent chance of losing sometime late in the fourth. They have learned to execute seamlessly under pressure, as a unit. Team as a hero. May have an essay coming on these games, if I ever find the time.

And of course it all started with 4:33 left with the Pacers down a dozen and Nesmith hitting the first of two consecutive threes.

Of course purists will say the nearly full-ranked Pacers (only Ty missing) never had any business being down double digits to the scrub edition Mavs, who remind me of a cleaner version of last year's Pistons.

All I can say, this better version of the Indy self would never have dribbled away three close games to the Celts in the ECF.

It's all here in its glory on YouTube. Totally free. Not easy.

Philly is worse to me because while theyre both about the same level of annoying, I've watched enough Good Will Hunting to find smooth brain Southies endearing in their own way. I have no such sympathies for Philly and their residents. Also the sh*ttiest dude I was in the Army with was from Philly and I'm okay condemning millions of people to my derision off of him alone.

As long as you are not in charge of AI pensions or DOGE payouts or something. Would be sh*tty to see millions get cut off of supply because of one grifter.

I do think the Thunder are a notch up from the rest of the West, but certainly nothing is guaranteed. It’s tough to gauge just where everyone stacks up after the seismic power shifts following the big trades.

What’s the latest on Jalen Williams’ timetable for return by the way? It’s crazy how much damage OKC can do when they’re not even at full strength.

No clue on Jdubb's return, but methinks they'll be overly cautious with him and perhaps even rest him until the final week before the playoffs. Their cushion isn't going anywhere.

I think it's pretty much LA and that's it. Clips would have a shot if they never had to play a road game. Houston too inexperienced and Memphis has fallen off a cliff.

The 40-20 rule should hold this year...they've been the 3 strongest teams all season.

'RegULaR SeAsOn DoNt MaTtEr' is such a hallmark meme for casuals. Most of these people probably couldn't name half the players on NBA rosters.

Outside of the tankathon squads and nights where teams rest all their starters off a b2b, no playoff squads are coming in with the intention of losing. And nobody wants to have the wrong momentum at any time of the year, most especially coming into the playoffs.

Knicks are a fine example of this. Desperately needing a lifeline after a freefall and they suffer b2b losses to SA's backups and the Hornets. These are not things that make Thibs' chronically high bloodpressure levels subside. And non viet Brunson being out is no excuse.

Only Brooklyn would foul behind the arc up 3 with 14 secs remaining.

Danny Brown's kinda sorta him low key.

Hope you No-Nepo bois are bracing yourselves for the extremely real possibility of Bronny being the Fakers' high scorer.

I'm not a Dubs fan but I still don't know what the Warriors need to do for people to take them seriously.

16-3 since the trade, 13-2 since the ASG, 14-2 when Steph and Jimmy play. Average MOV is over 10 in all scenarios (well above in the last one).

Nobody is gonna take them seriously until they prove it. Everyone knows what Steph can do but the depth is a complete wildcard. The Podziemski's and Kuminga's
