Walgreens 2020 Hanger Boxes - Page 17

Just returned from a road trip. Florida to North Carolina. I had time to make A LOT of calls to the Walgreens that were off the exits. I struck out completely in Florida. No location had S2 yet it seems. Georgia had a few, but South Carolina was a gold mine. Almost every location had 1 or 2 boxes. These were in addition to Heritage and Panini boxes that were still stocked, so it seems they were sent before the locations had sold out of hangers.

Ended up with 14 boxes. Hit the Loubob in the last box on the way home.

I reordered hangers from a few of my local stores in Florida last week. I checked them while coming back into town today and they were all stocked with Diamond Kings. Perhaps Florida misses out this release??

Bought some on eBay to hold but opened the two that came today to chase Robert. Didn’t hit it but grabbed my first superfractor and 1/1 instead. Not a bad consolation prize!

Posted this in the Luis Robert thread. They had 4 boxes and I bought all 4. This was in the 3rd box. Numbered 10/25

Randomly went into a Walgreens today during lunch... only 2 hangers.. Robert yellow in the last one

I've been driving around the Tampa/St Pete/Sarasota are and nothing. Where in FL are you looking?

Yes from what I've heard they only restock once all the old stock is sold.

I'm in Clearwater and haven't found any either, found one fully stocked with DK yesterday but besides that it's always empty. I actually have a friend that works at walgreens but haven't talked in a bit so don't want to hit him up just for this.

With the hype in Luis Robert, And the yellows going for over $300, how are these hangers not going for more than what they are? I imagine these hangers are going to shoot up in price a lot higher than what they are now.

Robert is awesome and that's great they are going for over $300 but they aren't going for more because the Robert yellow is a fairly tough hit. Each hanger has a 1:58 chance of getting a Robert yellow. I opened maybe 100 from Series 1 and I got no yellows of Bichette or Lux (got 5 Yordan). I don't think people are going to pay a ton for these over the regulars with the tough odds at the moment. Once S2 dries up a bit more or if Robert explodes even more I could see these higher.

Anything worth chasing in the DK hangers? I see a bunch of them and many times they will not restock until current stock has sold. So those DK hangers could be blocking some stores from getting the Topps.

I'm seeing Series 1 in the seasonal section but without the yellows, just regular hanger boxes.

Update: total bust. 1 eloy Jimenez of note out of 5 ‘19’s. Bryce Harper relic in the ‘20. Brutal

Yeah I opened a lot of 19 S2 hangers. They are a rough break IMO. If I find any more I will be keeping them sealed.

I would have kept the 19s sealed at this point.

I am finding those prime packs boxes right now with 2019 Series 2 packs in them as well as 2017 Prestige Football(Mahomes).

Just had an employee order 12. He couldn't tell me if it was 2020 topps series 2 so it could be anything. Wouldn't be surprised if it was just 2019 topps series 1 hangers. We will see. Hoping for 2020 series 1 or 2.

Is that through the distribution center, or do they just hold stock in the back and wait until it's sold out?
